Sergio's going to allow it...for now...
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

What could they possibly gain from them as opposed to let´s say Ferrari (Italian team) or Red Bull?

Edit: Also, some words from Brawn, exciting ;)
”For Spa and Monza we have some great update packages in the works. Depending on how well things go, we will then decide what to do for the rest of the season.”

For Monza it´s obvious you have another wing etc but maybe they are going for a specific SPA pack as well?
Something of a hybrid between regular and Monza pack.
I imagine its the DDRS for Spa.
Well DRD technically, I thought it would work well at Spa but the high speed left hander before the final chicane is very fast which would surely make it dangerous.

You mean Blanchimont. They took that corner with DRS open last year. They can take that with a stalled rear wing too.

I have to give credit to beelsebob for the DRD discussion in the race thread:
given some fast corners demanding for downforce, it's really difficult/pointless to use DRD.

Also, how can the tyre usage can influence the speed during a race, ie DRD will activate some metres later on the straights the worse the tyres are

Right, but turbo is right, blanchemont is not the issue. Both blanchemont and Eau Rouge/raidillon can be happily taken with the rear wing stalled. The issue is that eau rouge/raidillion won't be taken with the wing stalled because they aren't yet going fast enough to reach the track's trigger speed (as determined by pouhon). The only places where the cars travel fast enough to hit the trigger speed are the last 20% of kemmel before the breaking zone and a similar section before the bus stop.

eau rouge would also be below the DRD point. Pouhon has its minimum speed at 240km/h; eau rouge is entered at 300km/h.

(Not wanting to reopen that discussion; simply pointing it out :P)

I don't think Mercedes will run it in the race; it is still unreliable.

Understandable though. Go 10 years back and teams had to lift in the corner; only a very few brave succeeded going full throttle into that corner. Go 3 years back, they are taking the corner full throttle, one hand on the steering wheel and a stalled rear wing. They are taking that corner with more speed and less difficulty.

Meh, Mercedes probably aren't so much in need of DRS anyway. They've shown good top speed all year.

It´s interesting that the four guys we all rate the highest also take up the 4 top spots all in different machinery.
I think it says a lot about these guys.

No, we ALL don't rate them ALL the highest. It means also that they may have had the best cars at their disposal and team-mates taken care of. Without the best cars or straightforward races some of them look average time and time again. What does it say about them, huh?

On the other hand when Maldonado gets one chance to win and takes it it prompts fake whining about randomness from losers and conspiracy theories from confused public. People were told only "special drivers" can win so something had to be wrong. Agenda is feeding public what they want to hear and sell them drivers, not giving credit where it's due.

Meanwhile in the same vain 'leading F1 journalist' hails Germany as "pure race". Race with double team orders carrying one driver - in the form of "strategy" and open team orders is pure these days, so what do you expect?

[Nevermind, nothing is going on except Webber replacement soap opera so after re-watching some races I must say 2012 was an excellent F1 season and India is a nice track, there you have it.]

So who would you rate as the top 4 guys in Formula one today.

And regarding Maldonado, i never said that.
I simply said the cream rises to the top.

Even if you for example adjust for Rosberg´s fallouts you´ll still see Hamilton is ahead in every area.

The rest of your post seems like a rant that you just needed to get out....*pats on the back* it´s ok to cry mate.

Spa has it own climate similar to the race in Brazil. Because of the mountains and the altitude its hard to predict to weather.
Irvine:"If you don't have a good car you can't win it, unless you are Michael or Senna. Lots of guys won in Adrian Newey's cars, big deal. Adrian is the real genius out there, there is Senna, there is Michael and there is Newey. They were the three great talents."
