Agreed, neither am I.

I would love Riccardo to upset Vettel, but I am under no illusion it will happen right away and probably not at all. I hope if we do get Vettel/Riccardo we do not get complaints 7 races in that Vettel has a bum as a teammate if Vettel is out-performing him.

It could take a good year for Riccardo to harness his full potential, and its not like Vettel has many weaknesses these days whether you think he is the best or not.

I will believe in this thing when it is officially confirmed. This could simply be a stick to convince Kimi that he must speed up his decision. It appears not logical that Red Bull will make a decision before Kimi has decided what he does. If there were a decision for Lotus we would have heard about it from their team principal already. Boullier is not the guy who could keep his mouth shut over such a coup. So for me it means either Kimi goes to Ferrari or the decision is still open and these leaks are designed to pressurize him.

Kimi said in an interview that people might think his decision is stupid*
This alone tells me Kimi stays at Lotus. I cannot imagine any other alternative that would be seen as stupid when discussing RBR, Ferrari and Lotus.

*stupid is a placeholder but it was definitely something along those lines. I´ll see if i can dig up the article.

That's a constructors title winning team right there.
We've suffered enough of felipe. Bring back Kimi into the fold.
For Sure!!

11 years, 9.5 seasons...

He spent 2003 as test driver for Ferrari before going back to Sauber for 2004&5.

I'm counting 2009 as half a season for obvious reasons.
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

So on Wednesday a Finnish papers says Kimi is going back to Maranello and three days later Bild finds out that Red Bull will make their choice known in Spa next week. It would make some sense for Ferrari to lay their hand on Kimi in case the 2014 car becomes the final straw that break the camel's neck and makes Alonso go to Red Bull in 2015. So those two pieces of the puzzle would fit. Aerodynamics is not the forte of the scuderia. If they have a weak engine on top of that Alonso could become really desperate. I don't think he would break contract this year, but next year would become a distinct possibility, unless of course Ferrari is sandbagging in the engine bragging game.

Now is the time for Alonso to stay at Ferrari i think. The Red Bull train will inevitably loose track and if he goes there he´s the one that will experience this first hand.
Staying at Ferrari will increase the chance of them just getting it right at least once. At least that´s my 2 cents.

Ah yes. Mathematically speaking, probability theory would suggest that RBR getting a string of more on the trot would be unlikely and would have to end at some point, and so mathematically speaking, it's better Alonso stays

As you are a walking tribute to Vettel, I am curious. Who would you want to partner Seb? Kimi I take it?

Kimi or alonso. I hate this safe playing game. Riciardo will be just like webbo performance wise. Hit & miss, with miss more often than not. Vettel needs a seriously strong teammate so people will finally shut up about his incompetent co-drivers.
If Riciardo really joins RB everyone will be saying how Vettel vetoed kimi/alonso without any proof whatsoever.
