It's that time of year when we need our traditional "Silly Season" thread to avoid multiple team threads talking about the same thing. We usually try to keep the team threads to discussion of this team, this season.

I'm glad Ferrari still has a sense of humor:

Headline picture, coincidence? Maybe a sign that Kimi would become Ferrari driver 2014?

Yep, think you are right.
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

Dead set ringer (which translates to: Expect Kimi to be in a Ferrari come 2014).

They were not flat 4s. They were I4s.
Ok but you take the point, right? They obviously wanted something they could use for road cars and I see no reason why the fiat group couldn't benefit from a v6 turbo.

In other 'news' Joseluisf1 was tweeting about James Allison working with Rory Byrne for 2014. Duly take with pinch of salt, but it certainly sounds nice

Jose cites both Spanish and Italian media, but Ferrari have already officially denied this, as well as RB himself. His role will be more of a remote consultant that fully involved engineer.

Yes, Rory Byrne's interviews to South African media outlets have indicated that he is only helping Fry organise the various sub teams of the technical department at Maranello. Only works 100 days a year.

If Fry is any good I don't see why Byrne would be popping his head around the door. Allison turning up gives you that answer.

In this article:

omnicorse.it, a site which sometimes has good hints from ferrari insiders, states that this summer ferrari has used sauber's windtunnel to validate its data, and has discovered what was wrong with the Toyota windtunnel

Odd, isn't it? With Rory being remote from day-to-day interactions with the individuals involved, it would seem he'd be a poor choice to help "organise the various sub teams."

IMO that depends on what you read in "organise". Maybe his job is to review the results of subteams and decide which way to go? In this case 100 days a year is probably enough.
