Any track stayed the same from the 70-80s?

Post

Just to compare performance, is there any track, in any formula, that has been stuck with the same layout since the 70-80s?

Montreal has changed too, the last Chicane wasn't there earlier and the back straight was different.

Also Interlagos was much, much longer, with a large extra infield section.

The run up to the last 180° turn at Montreal was also shortened some time ago.

Mosport hasn't really changed, except for a bit of repaving and the addition of paved runoff.

Donington has been altered I believe.

Alas it only takes a simple peek at wiki to find belief does not match the facts....
Wiki page for Donnington wrote:The Melbourne Loop was built in 1985 to increase the lap distance to 2.5 miles (4.02 km) and allow the track to host Grand Prix motorcycle races – at 1.957 miles (3.149 km) without the loop, the circuit was deemed too short. This shorter layout remains as the National circuit, which is used for most non-Grand Prix events.

...

2010 ... resurrect the circuit, not only rebuilding the removed track sections, but also renewing infrastructure. This included the re-alignment of Foggy's bend, but not the old Dunlop Bridge

The failed bid dug up bits of the track and never built the new Tilke layout. Then in 2010 they repaired the circuit including realignment of Foggy's bend.

Fair enough. I thought they'd re-profiled Coppice slightly a few years ago (before the take over bid).
