It is understood that Hulk was informed he's not going to drive for Ferrari next year. Who else is on the table, let's see ... Ferrari PRs are waiting too long.

Waiting for Ferrari's announcement is like Apple's press conference last night: we already know what they are going to reveal.

What if they pull a bombshell and say, "We'd like to welcome Pastor Maldonado as teammate to Nico Hulkenberg next year?"

This one is unlikely, but how about Schumacher returning to Ferrari? Actually, di Montezemolo hinted at that, most likely as a joke.

When I try to compare the sustained level of performance from Kimi from 2007-09, with Fernando's 2010-12, I feel Fernando has done a better job than Kimi. Although Kimi won a WDC, it must be admitted that F2007 was a much more competitive car than its successors, relative to the competition. Ferrari has been unable to bring winning car out of the box ever since, but Fernando has still dragged those dogs towards competition. With that in mind, it wouldn't be surprising if Fernando beats Kimi next year.

Both Kimi and Alonso are intelligent enough to realize that when their chances or off in the WDC, they will play second fiddle to their teammate.

I think the real bombshell would be..."We want to welcome Juan Pablo Montoya to the Ferrari family..."

I tried this and I had understeer, I tried that and I had oversteer, at the end of the corner I just run out of talent

On topic: Lots of websites already claim that Kimi to Ferrari is official without source for confirmation. Just checked the media inbox and the Ferrari media site - nothing there. Yet.

Wait is over - http://formula1.ferrari.com/news/back-kimi - the release was expected to be at 14PM local time, right after lunch :) I hope he likes pasta.

Hm, 2 years. That's the real news. Not the usual 1+1 which was flying all around. I'm buying beer to my friends in Italy, who told me the deal was done at the end of August.
