Forget Ferrari and 2013-2014 racing I'm more interested where Raikkonen is going in 2016? Red Bull or McLaren :o ?

I say, "Who cares?" If the red cars aren't fast, it won't make any difference whether they have Kimi and Fred behind the wheel, or younger versions of Moss/Hunt/Senna/Prost/Fangio/Massell/Schumacher. :?

All this blather about who will be in what seat next year is just so much mental masturbation, imho. :wtf:

Now I hope McLaren drops Button for Hulkenberg. They should've picked him up last year instead of Perez.

Last year Perez did much better then any other young driver.

He's 23 and at that age 2 seasons with Sauber no longer a rookie. Last year this guy had more podiums then Paul Di Resta and Hulk combined people keep saying McLaren shoul have taken Hulk or Di Resta but I think 2 things.

First Hulk is better then Di Resta then that Sutil is better then Hulk or Di Resta. But between Hulk and Di Resta Vs Perez you can't fail to see that Perez simply had better stats. 1 he's younger and can be moulded. At his same age Hamilton had achieved less. Yet McLaren moulded him into a Champion. You guys have to see this from the point of view of what McLaren may have been thinking; 1 yes he's young but we(McLaren) took a young man the same age in the past and taught him moulded him mentored him and maid him into a Champion. We can do it again only this time we do with a guy with more achievements then Hamilton at the same age. See to McLaren they saw that. The potential. Where as Hulk and Di Resta in cars equal to Perez the Force India was more consistent too. They didnt beat him. Also they are older drivers. So in regards to McLaren from their point of view it was a good move given the drivers market at the time. You don't leave a younger guy with 3 podiums to go for two older guys with no podiums. Also a guy from The Ferrari Driver Academy. Perez has done more then Hulk or Di Resta and he's younger has more potential. Also he has matched up to Button. But said hes a kid willing to learn thats always valuable McLaren must love tht about him. He shows such speed at times. But sadly he also is too agressive at times. He's gotten way better tho hes closing the gap on Button I think but I don't see Button going away from McLaren. Not if its not Ferrari or Lotus.

I think seeing the car Perez had, vs the car Hulkenberg had, Perez should have gotten victories to equal what Hulkenberg did in the Findia

Totally agree! =D>
This year Force India has more potential than the last year Sauber and Di Resta did a 5th or a 4th place like best result.
Perez last year almost won the malesian gp, and he got other 2 podiums!

Great summary Racer X.

And adding to that, McLaren have a great following in Mexico and latin American so they know that by having Perez they have a lot on their side, especially with the Mexican GP coming up.

The thing is....... people are of the win now mentality and so they would like teams to take a shot at people that can win now and not have to wait a bunch of years to see results.

McLaren might believe to be doing the proper thing to aim for the future, but they also risk losing sponsorship money and also the possibility of Perez being good right at the end of his contract with them and then jumping to another team that will offer him more money and win with them.

Choices and chances.
