If Flipe disobeys team order this year Ferrari will have ways to punish him. They have a strong influence in the sport via their relatoopnship with Bernie and their customers. It would not be good for Massa to disregard what Montezemolo is telling him via the media. But if he does it would show some balls. I would love to see Monte's face if Smedley comes on the radio and tells Massa. "Felipe baby you are faster than Fernando."
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

I just don't see that happening. Massa has been a loyal servant to the Ferrari cause.
His tribulations over the years and strong relationship with the Ferrari faithful will hold him in good stead.

Alonso's hope are faint at best. Nothing Massa does between now and the end of the season will see Alonso usurp Vettel.
The current gap stands at 53 points with with 7 venues left. Alonso would need to win every race to stand an outside chance of victory in the WDC.
If Massa finishes 2nd in each of those venues then there is a possibilty of it happening.
If Vettel fails to finish 2 races on the trot and Alonso takes maximum advantage, I will recalibrate my opinion. But again, this works both ways.
You are looking at 7 races with a Ferrari 1-2 finish to make this plausible. And plausible it aint.

Massa has it all to play for as he wants a decent race seat next year. He will not want to trip up Alonso, but I think if Alonso finds himself behind Massa, it will be fair game from now on.

Massa will not be bound by any obligations of silence next year. Anything they do now to discredit him now can be thrown back in their faces the minute his contract expires. True, the damage will be done then to Massa's chances of driving around, but ferrari might not be willing to take the risk. Especially because rumors are Massa will go to Lotus, which doesn't have any ties with Ferrari.

If Massa suddenly shows good results now, then Ferrari will not be able to do damage to his chances. The real tools Ferrari have are the obvious means like stretching pitstop times, but perhaps also hampering with his car. Massa will always be able to bring that to the outside world though, and ferrari might loose constructor points with doing that (any punishment aside).

Massa has to pull through now with his message. They are all around the poker table. Massa has the best cards and ferrari can only hope to win this with outbluffing.

Maybe this means that Felipe will suddenly start scoring the kind of points that Ferrari need to firmly get a hold of second in the WCC, however I'm not holding my breath on this one. :-"

Jose cites both Spanish and Italian media, but Ferrari have already officially denied this, as well as RB himself. His role will be more of a remote consultant that fully involved engineer.
Yes, Rory Byrne's interviews to South African media outlets have indicated that he is only helping Fry organise the various sub teams of the technical department at Maranello. Only works 100 days a year.
Where can I read this interviews ?

i dnt think ferrari will be happy about this and looking at the situation as of now , it will make sense for alonso to move on to mclaren . Last four years no titles , only false promises and ongoing restructuring. stefano has screwed up completely. even if its a bluff , its an interesting one because fernando is good for development and he will carry detailed info about ferrari engine to Honda.

instead mclaren in these last 4 years has kept all its promises!! I bet that if in 2010 they (ferrari) hadnt the wrong strategy in the last race , or if in the last year alonso hadnt had the 2 involuntary accidents, your opinion would be very different today! I want to tnk Ferrari for not having chosen the path of the irregularity to win.

In the past four years, Mclaren have not been in a position to win the title come the end of the year, this in despite the fact the 2012 car was best car and it was only poor reliability and operational errors that stopped Hamilton from winning the title.

Wasn't Hamilton mathematically in the running for the title in 2010 but needed the other 3 guys to all fail to score while he won the race or something??
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

I didn't watch the race, so I guess this is the best place for this question: how did Alonso and Kimi act together after the race and on the podium? Were they talking alot (basically putting on a show), or their normal few words and "let's get this over with", which would be more honest and true to their characters?
I see this as a first indication of their relationship next year.

I can't see that the new tunnel will be that much better than Toyota's. They have a new aerodynamicist as well.

Watch it - http://f1tv.fx1.nl/?year=2013&play=1379943532 Around 02:13 after the start.

Not much talking, especially Alonso. Just a handshakes, some hugs, VET looks happy, but not exhausted, as opposed to the RAI and ALO :) "Long run on the primes, huh?"

It would be much easier logistically and hopefully turnaround time for updates will improve.

Do you have a link or any factual information to support your belief? Would appreciate knowing why you believe this.
