Its not much per se, but for me Alonso lacks respect. He's always shaking his hand and doing silly moves. Although he has talent more than the majority of the field, but he should be more humble.

Here is another testing incident with Klien.

Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

I sort of like what Alonso did. I can never condone formula cars making contact, but it sure sent Alonso's competitors a definite message.
I may be in a new car, but I'm fast, I'm mean and nasty.

Historically, when you mix a good driver with a good car and team, they do well.

I am a Ferrari fan, but in Alonso's position i would have done the same thing, be it to Badoer or anyone else, and it did make a bold statement to everyone of his competitors, thats what matters

And we all know Alonso has the will/skills to fight to defend his crown this season, so his aggresive actions wont be a one time thing (im not saying that he will succesfully defend it, because all of you non-believers must accept it, its either Massa or Raikkonen for WDC)

Sorry guys but we really are reading far too much into this. This sort of incident is not that uncommon in testing.

It is Alonso's fault but I don't think it was "a message" to Badoer but simply an incident in very slippery conditions. That's testing in bad weather with nothing in stake except pointless damage to a car which can ruin testing session.

I know it wasn't a "message" to Badoer or to anyone, but it certainly was an aggresive move on Alonso's part, and i think it is rather uncommon for this kind of stuff to happen during testing, first of all they shouldnt have been running that close to each other, plus, Badoer gave him space to go through, yet Alonso still made contact and made him spin and get stuck in the gravel trap
Honestly i cant remember the last time an accident like this happened during testing, but people do crash into barriers though*
and its not that we are reading too much into this topic but its interisting to share opinions about these events in Formula 1

*Massa at Vallelunga last week
*Hamilton sometime last week during testing as well

Damn... Ron must've changed.

Jk mate, that ain't Ron. Even if I don't see his face, Ron wouldn't carry anyone's helmet for him.
The trouble with the rat-race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.
