Thread Safety Socket Coupler

Safety Sockets are a variation of automatic operation. The socket accepts the plug by insertion. The sleeve is moved straight for-ward to lock and turn on the air. The sleeve is moved back by rotating first to the left and then to the right. This shuts off the supply line, exhausts the downstream line, and then releases the plug.

Well, I'm pretty sure that the yellow device pictured on the other page is a fuel breather. I'm just trying to deduce the purpose of all the connections based upon that and anything else I can find. So far I think (denoted by the dots I've placed on the image)...

...the green connection is for fuel; the yellow connection is also for fuel; the red connection is for oil; and the blue connections are for water to preheat the engine. That means nitrogen for the pneumatic valve springs is added elsewhere. But, who knows?

These are the little assignments I give myself when I can't sleep, which is often.

Excellent. It would drive me nuts to never know exactly what's going on here.

Hi to all, the two identical couplings are used for fuel in and out. Watch many practice sessions and hopefully you will see the the mechanics pulling two hoses of the same and you'll also see them connected to the fuel rig inside the garage. Also i see them using an air filter like device on one of the sockets not sure which one, and it had a sticker on it saying fuel in or something to do with fuel, might not be, might just be using that to hold the sticker, but nevertheless .

Today i looked the fuel vids from Shell racing vs. regular fuel and immediately remember that forum..
If you compare that F2012 pictures on first page of this thread with this pictures below you could conclude:

1. they made from 2009 really nice development in therms of use of additional free space. Tight packaging is nowadays essential part to be competitive.
2 They also rearrangement whole thing a bit, but principles are still the same.

Below are pics from Ferrari F60 (season 2009 model). Its interesting how they development that area ...
