What Mclaren is doing now with hiring high profile engineers is pretty much the same as what Ferrari has been doing for the past few years. So success if not guaranteed for sure for sure. I reckon that 2014 will be another dull season for Mclaren due to their imminent split with Merc after 2014.

I think that there are certain people at RB, who are getting tired of not getting any credit for the teams success, just like Renault. Every RB car related success is accredited solely to Newey and I wouldn't be surprised if more big names followed Promodrou to Mclaren.

Couldn't agree more. Beside which, if McLaren have an upturn in form in the next 2-3 years (which is fairly likely after their dismal showing, by McLaren's standards at least, this year) then they can take a share of the credit..!!
