driving style 2014

during FP2 in india it emerged that simulator work is being carried out to ascertain the most effective driving style for 2014 ...although only 2 teams were mentioned it is reasonable to presume that most , if not all, teams are doing this

presumably because of the maximum fuel capacity regulations it seems that the new methodology is going to be

lift early and cruise into corners
more gentle application of throttle exiting corners

what are the ...flat out racing ...affectianadoes going to say about this ? in reality flat out from lights to flag racing has never existed of course , le plus ça change .....

If that is true there will be some drivers that benefit from this more so than others, I'm thinking Button as an example, I'm sure others are thinking the same

the USP of 2014 is to have flat out racing by fixing the fuel rate, there being no means to benefit by using fuel at a lesser rate
(currently drivers can let the car have inefficient fuel use or not, and variously benefit, but 2014 cars don't do this)

unless the permitted fuel load in 2014 is insufficient to allow the permitted fuel rates to be used throughout
AFAIK this might happen with 100 kG of fuel at only one race, so there will normally be no economy driving
this is important in preventing a general but mistaken impression that drivers are needing to economy drive
(it was said that the permitted fuel load would be reduced in later years, presumably to be matched in permitted fuel rate)
