Adrian Sutil has secured a deal with Sauber to ensure himself a race seat for 2014. He will effectively make the inverse move of Nico Hulkenberg who joined Force India following his departure at Sauber.

in fact he is stopping short of saying he will sign the first contract he is offered as long as it pays his cost and has some perspective- but not for williams who have lied to him .....who btw was the boss there ,then? Wolff ,maybe?
Bit of politicking there IMO from Hulk. Didn't want to say publicly that he was desperate for Lotus and FI/Sauber are last alternatives. If the Quantum deal is done, you'd expect him to go there.

He´s more then then ready for the big league imo. He´s even proved it and he´s been so close to grab points for Williams this year on a number of occasions.
Four 11th positions and one 10th.
Bottas has one 11th position.
Maldonado has in total gained 31 positions on lap 1 this year, that´s more then anyone else.
He gains on average almost 2 positions on lap 1 every race.
Bottas despite better qualifying performance has dropped 14 positions this year on lap 1 and drops on average about 1 position per race on lap 1.

I wouldn't count on that in general, I think it's an irrelevant statistic. It's kind of easier to gain positions when you're in the 2nd half of the midfield as opposed to if you're in top 5.
Other than that and leaving jokes aside, Maldonado can be good, can be fast, but he loses his head, misjudges situations and he seems to be a primitive guy sometimes. Maybe it's harsh, but I can't find another word to describe that.
Maybe if he would be in a good car further up the grid it can deliver good results constantly, but who knows.

Although supposedly Grosjean is signed up for Lotus next year, has anyone seen any comfirmation that Genii have confirmed the deal yet? If not,how about Hulkenburg and Maldonado at Lotus?
I don't think that is possible. Lotus need some element of continuity regarding the drivers.

that´s true but he´s not starting in that part of the field alone.
Some guys around him is not doing a better job in the opening lap ompared to him.
Percentage-wise he´s doing a 100% better job on lap 1 then all the guys around him in that area.
It´s not the end all be all statistic but it clearly shows he´s taking advantage of every opportunity on the opening lap.

Well, if Hulkenberg doesn't get that Lotus drive, I really wish he would find a way to stay at Sauber. This is me speaking purely from the perspective of the Swiss team though. I think Hulkenberg is a very good driver (I've always kind of rated him the highest among the drivers of the midfield teams) and the team has a lot to thank him for.
If he does indeed leave, I hope it'll be for a good drive, IMO he deserves it - but at the same time, I wonder what will become of Sauber. I can't see GUT pulling the team forward and it definately could not be expected of young Sirotkin either. They need at the least a solid and consistent number one, just as Hulkenberg has been this year. IMO, you can have millions behind a driver, but if both drivers are not able to pull the car into points, I can't really see them getting out of their financial difficulties in the long term.
So, if Lotus takes Hulkenberg, then that still leaves Massa (who is speculated to be talking to Williams) and Pastor. I just don't quite see Pastor and his financial partners fitting it at Sauber...?

Many rumors now that Magnussen will replace Perez at McLaren. He was pulled out in the last minute of a GP2 test by his management. This could indicate that he is in serious negotiations with at team. Don't really believe he will replace Perez. But i sure do hope so

The story is very strange as DAMS stated it wasn't McLaren who pulled him out which you would expect if he was either lined up for a McLaren drive or the Marussia seat. The cynical suggestion would be that fresh off a WSR title, there is little to gain from the GP2 test and a poor showing would be more detrimental than a good showing would be positive.
