If it was Monaco then you could defend it slightly in that it's such a difficult race mentally and jewel in the crown ala Le Mans x2 points in the WEC, but Abu Dhabi...

I agree, but it would have been nice to break up Vettel's streak and I wouldn't have minded seeing Massa win in front of his home crowd in 08... Something tells me Hamilton will get another chance.

So a driver comes with 49 points advantage into the race, gets wiped out and looses championship? I'm not a biggest Vettel's fan but it doesn't make ANY sense to me.

Dear F1 Technical Colleagues, F1 Fans, dear WORLD..............what has happened to FIA????? Do they really want to destroy this sport???? I cant believe that all of the teams have agreed to this CRAP of rule to give 50 points for the winner of the last race......... This is the lowest point in the history of this beautiful perfection seeking sport where people compete on the highest levels possible in one sport....I can only assume that the teams have gave this up in exchange to a ''larger'' budget cap .......OMG if 2014 was not a enough shock its self with this radical changes.

I just dont like the idea that some one will get lucky at the last race and in theory can jump form 6th,7th place to becoming champion with only one win or something like that.......plus everyone will be scared to not have DNF in the last race, people will drive like on ice and everyone will avoid any contact by all means....
