Those are not complete turbochargers but only exhaust driven turbines - compressor turbines are missing (they wouldn't rust since they're made of aluminum).
You can't assume that because the parts are there that they belong to that car.

I got that myself after he explained that parts are from another car. Nobody mentioned another car originally.

So here we go I'm now convinced that is an indy car as I got a few new pics from the seller; look at that body (sorry large pictures my photoshop was doing a bit weird):

And it seems to have a sister car as well it's the one advertised on racecarsdirect.com I take.

There is also a back wing included which has number 15 on it, so anyone with an indy car site to find who drove it?

I won't be buying it though, I am looking more for something european and F2ish or perhaps one cheap turbo F1 car. I think it shouldn't have more than 4 cylinders though.

However nice to dicover a real barn-find though.

BTW: How do I change this topic's title to 'Help, indy car identification'?

I enjoyed trying to figure this one out. Bring on the next obscure barn find I say.

Are you sure a 4 cylinder F1 turbo will be F2ish...
