I've finally watched the footage from the race (not easy to see Nascar in Portugal...) and I must say that a contact between front fender and rear bumper is a little too much... That's JPM allright, the ultimate racer that takes half the field and doesn't rest until he's on the lead. Reminds me about certain moves he did last year.
That said, I understand Pruett's frustration but let's not see this with open-wheel racing's eyes. Contact in tin-top racing is waaaaay more acceptable and Scott, if he had seen JPM (which he should have), could easily defend his position by leaving a little room for Monty (just enough not to be spun out as he was) and getting the inside line to the following corner.
