11:58 Von Mercedes hören wir, dass bei der aktuellen Rennsimulation von Nico Rosberg in Sachen Spritverbrauch alles im grünen Bereich ist.

We hear that Mercedes in the current race simulation of Nico Rosberg in terms of fuel consumption, everything is in the green zone. The Silver Arrows are obviously a step further than the competition.

It is too early to predict anything but Mclaren and Mercdes seems to be the cars to beat.

Only 7 laps for RBR?

Another day with problems
Being a racing driver means you are racing with other people. And if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing, competing to win...

its looking good atm

i watched teds notebook last night and the interview with lewis. i don't know how to explain it but he seems different to other years. bit more grounded and confident perhaps.

RACE SIMULATION MERCEDES INCLUDES THREE STOPS
Mercedes is finished with their race simulation. Nico Rosberg did 72 laps and stopped three times. Fuel consumption apparently no issue for the Mercedes V6 turbo. (source f1today.net)

I am ferrari fan but at the moment these two are making better millage, have nice speed... Also, Mercedes will have 4 teams with their engine, therefore more data etc. I would like to see all of them within one second, but that would be wishful thinking :D

You don't know what they are testing, how much power the engine is set on etc..
Maybe Ferrari is just sand-bagging?

Last year everyone was shocked with the pace of Mclaren on the first test at Jerez, and we all know what kind of season they had in 2013..

mclaren did issued a statement the same day it wasn't a realistic lap. Pace from the front seems very genuine. Ferrari does look to be fast.

I'd assume they run the engines on full power to get a correct view on the generated heat.

To be fair that was mostly because of their dodgy splitter which was bending up allowing them to run a lower ride height. Apparently that gave them a huge increase in downforce which is why they were so fast. Whether that is true I'm not sure.

Yeah I know and I agree. I'm just saying how it looks now... I think that all of them will change lot of stuff until the first race and I believe that Renault and RB will solve their issues ;)
