i posted the same from a dutch article, was removed. seems to be 'rumours' so i guess as long as sabine kehm doesn't
state anything there's nothing to be taken from it.

Echoing the previous page, Sabine has done a wonderful job in the most difficult of circumstances. Amazing how well handled the whole thing has, the lockdown of news particularly.

../Kehm added: "The family of Michael Schumacher is again requesting for their privacy, and the medical secret, to be respected, and to not disturb the doctors treating Michael in their work.

What is medical secret? Is it an European terminology or a translation error? Is it just the procedure to treat a person kept private?

I think it's the same as medical confidentiality.

Details (and generals) of a persons condition are private, and a doctor has to respect that.

It seems the rumors regarding waking Schumacher were true:

"Michael's sedation is being reduced in order to allow the start of the waking up process which may take a long time," Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, said in a statement.

I'm guessing that's a translation error.

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

It can take stroke victims years to recover fully.
Being similar in nature (the injury), it is safe to say every hardcore F1 fan will be willing Micheal on in prayer until he overcomes the huge task that lays ahead - walk tall again sir.

There is nothing to cheer. Nobody can see the future. He could wake up, but in which state? Will he recover? Will any improvement of recovery will be possible?
We will get no news, because the situation is really critical. If he wakes up and his mind is "frozen" and only blinks with his eyes then also they wont give us the bad news. Because they will try several months to recover him.

The risk and uncertainty are very obviously there, but there are some 'feel-good' case studies: Stirling Moss was in a coma for 38 days and in hospital for 6 months, yet he fully recovered, made a racing comeback, and recently celebrated his 84th birthday.

Karl Wendlinger, in a coma for 19 days and raced again in F1 by the end of the 1994 season. Add Nelson Piquet (1987 concussion), Mika Hakkinen (1 week in coma in 1995 and then double World Champion), Felipe Massa (2 days, still racing in F1). Arguably, with the exception of Hakkinen none of them were as good drivers as they were before their head injuries, but that is irrelevant in Schumacher's case...

I'll be simply relentless in killing rumors. Last night someone was bored and decided to tell the world via Twitter that MSC is dead.
This has forced the Grenoble hospital to talk to AFP and deny it: https://twitter.com/afpfr/status/431666643215724545

I'm still thinking of you Michael, still hoping and praying.

This just in: Prayers do not have an effect on any living being inside what we call the universe.
They only make the person "praying" feel better in thinking they are accomplishing something that do not exist.

If Michael lives it will be through the state-of-the-art technology and knowledge in that particular field of science.
I´m sorry but it´s 2014 now, not 1865.
What people need to have that´s outside the operating room is patience and let the professionals do what they do best.

Whatever happens, he´s had one hell of a life. I´d switch my life in an instant to have his life and being a 7 time world champ but perhaps die at a young age then not being able to race in F1 at all and die at 90.

While I may share your views, I still accept and respect different views of others, if people want to pray for him, they aren't exactly harming anyone. Isn't really the place for talking semantics of the universe.

I disagree.

Imagine 5 billion people genuinely believing in leprechauns and unicorns.
Sure no harm done to individuals per say but what about humanity as a whole?
You still think there´s zero harm being done in these thought processes?

Schumacher if you live or die,
You´ve had an amazing run in Formula 1, the most impressive yet and you have a certain place in Hall of Fame where you rightly take your place as the most successful by far. Hello or goodbye, whatever it might be.

And to myself: Don´t worry about things you can´t control.
