... I went to the Aussie GP for the first time in a couple of years and stayed for the following week to check out some of the city. Am fortunate to have relatives with a house about 200metres from Albert Park on the Canterbury Road side. On Saturday morning I donned the running shoes and did a lap of the track.. hangover and all. Not a pretty sight.

Darn it's bumpy. My legs are still aching :lol: It only took me 24 minutes to complete the lap though. :lol::lol:

That would be good enough for pole position back in 1887, had the GP been run in Oz then. An average of 12.5kmh^-1 isn't bad, did you run all the way?

Ha ha.. I did run most of the way, but stopped to look at what looked like a piece of DC's or Wurz' car on the edge of the track - sadly not.

I forgot how loud the cars are, hadn't been to a race in a few years. On Friday when they did practice I was at a cafe a couple of blocks away (nearer the beach) and could feel it through the ground still.
