what an idiot...

Post

For those of you can't stand watching a great car get destroyed by a moron, don't watch the video. It is a video of Eddie Griffin (the pimp from Deuce Bigalow), wrecking an Enzo. I almost cried when I saw it on TV yesterday.

EDIT - my apologies. I didn't realize that the video was already posted in General Chat section. Sorry!

What an idiot. Money apparently doesn't buy brains.

That's why I can't stand millionaires buying million-dollar cars...

.....and then shoot him in the head!

The sad thing is that it wasn't even his car. It belonged to some other guy.
Actually, what makes me even more angry is the lack of remorse:

It's very unusual that the guy standing there didn't even flinch. I'm sure over 99% of all brain-alive persons would have jumped a mile if in that situation.

I wonder what numbs a person's brain so much they don't react to such a threatining scenario. Probably whatever numbs a person so much they drive into a barrier like a dumbass.

i read yesterday that the damage to the car was beyond repair... here goes another enzo.
Any idea how many enzos are left "alive" after this crash? 300 i guess?

398. 2 of them are gone.

Dave, Ciro, I've heard about that theory...is it possible that the person behind the barrier didn't see it coming, that he was looking the other way. It is difficult to say based on the video we have.

Regardless, I doubt that that is a publicity stunt. If he was taking the pictures, he could've done the same just a few yards off to the side. Besides, even if it was planned, I think that the human reflexes would've forced him to do something...anything.

Also, it would have been a very expensive publicity stunt.

However, if it was a publicity stunt, then I wasn't joking about having them shot :D

btw, does anybody know if he'd been black flagged by Ferrari. I've read that in order to be considered for an Enzo (this was couple of years ago) you must not have crashed a Ferrari in the past.

I do corner marshaling for Champ Car and SCCA club races and a few time there has been a wreck in my proximity and I have not reacted because I did not see it. By the time you hear it, it's too late. I don't think the guy was looking!

Another conspiracy, Ciro?

Actually, there we4re 349 Enzo's built. Minus the one on PCH and this one, plus one I've seen locally with a shortened nose, thats 346 left. How many more dumbasses have torn up their cars worldwide?

Well, who puts up concrete barriers on what looks like an Autocross course? I think whoever built the course was the idiot. They obviously told him to go and drive the car on this course, so I don't know why you guys are harping on him, he was doing his job. He wasn't drunk and he wasn't partying.
I love to love Senna.

I can think of at least three off of the top of my head that have been crashed severely (enough to make the news) and possibly a fourth. So out of 399 Enzos built (the 400th went to the Pope), there are probably 395 or 396 left on the road.

These crashes are helping me see why Ferrari chose to select clients for their FXX program.

If the repair bill goes to $100k, even $200k, that would be *extremely* cheap by movie publicity standards. Even Cartoon Network was fined $2M lately for guerilla marketing gone wrong in Boston.

Is there a consensus that the car is a writeoff? It looks like repairable damage.

Like f1.redbaron said it belonged to someone else, the producer of a new film, starring Eddie Griffin. The film (which im not gonna name, as it looks apalling) is, as far as I can make out, about destroying exotic supercars (for example Porsche Carrera GT yes a real £400,000+ Carrera GT!). And for that reason im glad someone crashed his hyper car, its like the Car Gods have set a curse on him..

Oh yeah, don't watch the film, they don't derserve money for what they've done.....But if your someone who is clinically insane, and wants to watch this crap, download it illgally.
