First post on here after a long long time reading!
I've joined up to start this post, I can't see anywhere that anyone has mentioned this, I have searched so I apologise if it has been stated, but it appears the fia have updated some details for qualifying.
Summary:
They've provided each team that makes it into Q3 with an extra set of option tyres only to be used in that final session.
Those who make it into Q3 must start the race on the tyres they qualified fastest in Q2 on.
They've taken 2 minutes off Q1 (now 18 mins) and added them onto Q3 (now 12 minutes) to encourage multiple runs in the last session.
All of this is to promote a proper finish to qualifying instead of sitting it out for strategical reasons, which is great!
Hopefully it works and I hope this has updated a few people.
