very interesting
this is exactly the opposite of what almost everybody is saying. Could you argument your thesis?

There is no source to mention softs, and there is only one to mention medium.

As you can see with my helpful arrow to the yellow walled tyres his time was on softs. Ive also circled his number 22 incase you had any doubts who it was. 8)
Thanks :(
It's clear :(

I hoped that we will beat the Ferraris. I still believe that. :D

I think that can conclude mclaren were on softs. The time highlighted green in the time table, and the frameshot does not show any sign that it is a replay. Nice work Bredd!

c) RB was running ~11.700rpm and Ferrari ~12600 rpm
Could anyone confirm that?
As has been stated a hundred times before there is need to do more than 11,5k at any time, except when you are in 8th gear. Max rpm in 8th obviously won't happen in Melbourne because they don't have the straights for that.
So yes, it's entirely plausible.

Is has been stated hundred times a wrong thing
as point b) and c) and most of all a) clearly demonstrate.(not to mention common sense by anyone who ever drove a race car or bike)

Where can I get this? Does it work properly?
F1.com. It is for iOS and Android only. Cost me 10€. Seems to work, but i'm not very familiar with it yet. The rpms are a bit harder to follow around the lap, because you cant properly follow the car during the lap. But the driver tracker with speed and gear works well.

Well Button was fastest in Sector 2 but for some reason he's losing too much time (almost 9 tenths) in Sector 3...

Reading all these comments I am a little confused about which teams are the fatest ones, well Mercedes is the winning horse right now, but apart from that I am a little bit lost!.

I really don't dislike the engine noise that much.

They're not as dramatic and loud as they used to be, and it's a bit 'weird' (as in, not what we're used to) at the moment, but I quite like that we can hear the tyre squeal and that when journalists are relaying things at trackside we can hear them.

If I were at the race, I think I'd like it more too. Never liked that you can't have any kind of conversation whilst watching the race.

For TV they could do a lot with how they pick up the sound and mix it. At least here in Finland it was turned way too low compared to commentators.

How the hell do you know the Merc has higher fuel consumption? The fuel flow limit is capped.

Red Bull looked scarily good, thinking they have been able to test so little, didn't expect this.

Alonso looked much more comfortable than Kimi, attacking more.
