What I want to know more than anything else, is how Vettel is going to handling being shown up by his teammate.

The only good news for Lotus - at least Raikkonen is not their problem anymore. Makes you wonder how much performance and how many good results they sacrificed last season (apart from obvious ones) to make everything tailor-made to his needs.

I think we're getting the answer (first small one) to the question how adaptable Vettel is. Or maybe Ricciardo is one of all time greats and Red Bull really has an eye for superhuman talent (Vergne is not far behind). Or maybe you can put ten current drivers in Newey's cars and they'd be multiple world champions. Anyway F1 all time top 10 drivers:
Vettel
Senna
Ricciardo
Batman
Prost
Vergne
Clark
Ken Block (he's Red Bull isn't he?)
Schumacher

The announcers mentioned RB loaded new software on the PU. Vet reported the car was un-drivable. Was that software loaded into Ric's PU?

Ric drove great. Sad for Fred. He must be really hacked.
The Australian fans on the Grandstands are so unforgiving. I'm sure Fred will bounce back with a vengeance soon.

So, was Magnussen's time in Q2 (qualyfing for Q3) under yellow flag or not. He may have passed the zone where Raikkonen crashed, before the crash.

He passed that zone after the crash, but he slowed down a bit.

Well they're blaming it on the car being down on power so he'll probably reconcile it that way.

Personally I don't believe it as he was slower than his team mate in Q1 but the gap was twice as large in Q2 in the wet when engine power wouldn't matter as much. If it's drivability then it's more believable but Horner specifically said down on power.

Exactly as I saw it, VET was clearly outclassed and out driven

What a quali session... And the atmosphere was great as well ! Might very well put sprinklers for every quali from now on lol.

I remember saying that Vettel would wipe the floor with Ricciardo. Dan made me eat my words today. Be curious to see if it was some sort of car problem for Vettel. Probably.

Wow what a qualifying session it was.............. =D> Drama to the last second... I think we are set for a great race tomorrow with Ricardo between the Mercs and Kimi, Button & Vettel coming from the back + potential rain.

I'm also curios to see how K-Mag will behave in the race.....

People!!!!.....F1 is back

Hamilton is in the best possible position to win the race, not just because he's starting from pole, but because he has Ricciardo behind him who could potentially hold up Rosberg (in case the RB10 is no match in tomorrow's race).

On the other hand, it could go really wrong just like it did in 2012 where he messed up the start and was in a defensive role until the very last lap. A win in the first race of the season would be so extremely important, let's hope he get's everything right. It's about high time for a second WDC for Hamilton.

K-Mag eh ? Like K-Pax. Loved that one :) And the first rookie to qualify as high up as 4th since Hamilton in 2007, which i think bodes very well for him. Today was truly the day for new talent...
