Full Live Timing on Windows (& F1 Legal)

Post

Did some research last night and found a Android emulator for Windows. Now I am running the Official F1 app on my Surface Pro 2. You can also upgrade to Premium. Will be running multiple PC's for the race.

See http://www.bluestacks.com

Meanwhile, FOM you suck. Bring back full live timing.

It is a full android emulator, you go to the Google play store and download the app. I bought a $20 GooglePlay card from the shops to buy the premium version rather than put my credit card as I don't trust google with it.

So by using this you can have the sector times for free?

The app is running, but I only get the leader board, like at formula1.com

Do I have to subscribe to "premium", to get the sector times?

I'm missing the sector times and the lap chart at formula1.com which I enjoyed last year ... like I enjoyed timing information on f1tests.info in the previours seasons.

Sector times are for premium only. You need to buy the premium version. All worked well for me.
I don't have an android or apple device, so this is the method until they release a windows app.

I also get the message: " Your device is not compatible with this app" on a Macbook.
Does it work for anybody on Mac OS?

But thanks for finding this emulator!
I'm gonna try it on Windows in a second.

I also have the .apk file, if that is useful for anybody.
Haven't found an option to directly import it into the emulator yet though.

What benefit does this have over the regular website live timing (apart from the car tracker)? I've tried the official app on my iPhone, and it didn't seem to display the time gaps between drivers on the sector time screen.

This app is so crappy...it is ridiculously slow, has a lot of bugs and visualization errors.

At least you can use it on as many Androids as you want. Just buy it and copy the "prod_purchases.xml" to the other devices.

@Univex:

I have tried to install this application with bluestack (beta-1 version); it didn't work;

message from google play page said:

"your device isn't compatible with this version"

could you tell us how do you do to install it ?

thanks a lot for your response.
