Ferrari have confirmed the departure of Pat Fry and Nikolas Tombazis from the Scuderia, amidst a reorganisation that started when new team principal Maurizio Arrivabene came in charge. Arrivabene, Managing Director of {Ferrari}’s Gestione Sportiva and Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari, has restructured his team with a flatter structure and clear assignment of responsibilities.
This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.

i havent seen ferrari'being humiliated in such a fashion for sure this is the worst ferrari in past 10 years and reason is plain and simple weakest PU , they were given 5 years and if in 5 years they come up with this lawn mover's engine then shame on them. watching Raikonen and alonso being overtaken by force india with such an ease , i was infuriated beyond words.. 32 seconds in 11 laps was accumulated by mercedes. i think anyone who still thinks that championship is not over is dreaming
For those who still dare to dream for this year, and by dreaming i mean not even of championship but only gp wins, one can think that in season testing will help the team unlock some potential from the car and especially th PU.
Remember 2012, until may, Ferrari was nowhere near the bulls, and after testing at mugello, the team got a bit closer to the competition.
maybe it's just about "unlocking" potential, i think malaysia showed the car has qualities, especially aero wise. they improved on this front compared to previous years.
one questio remains, though : are they allowed to develop the engine within the rules ? we know they can change a few things on the PU on reability grounds, but thus far, both cars crossed the finish line without major problems.
so the question is : how far can they go withou breaching the rules concerning the PU ?
Is time for Ferrari to react, not for this year but for the future, fire Fry, Domenicali and people involved in the engine department if necessary, let Alonso go, he is not happy and he made the car look better than what they are, and that is bad because they can't see a real reflection of their job.
It will be interesting to see how things develop at Ferrari. For the sake of their main business they can't be seen to develop inferior engines to Mercedes. How can a sports/racing company be seen to be inferior on raw power and excitement to a company best known for making big comfortable cars for senior managers ? Will they bring in lots of 'bright young things' alongside their senior engineers, will they force their suppliers to contribute their very best staff to pacy collaborative working and problem identification / solution, will they shout at their best engineers and potentially demotivate the very people they need to move them forward, will they play things out in public, or will they knuckle down and deal with the issues logically thoroughly and essentially privately ? When their top driver talks about their issues so relatively clearly in public, what does this tell us about the communication issues he must perceive ? Will they feel forced to make changes on the management side so as to give Allison the space and time he must need to improve the engineering ?
The Mercedes recipe seems like the one Ferrari need to take now. They should simply forget this year and focus their energy and money into 2015, or even 2016. If you're just doing what the best are doing, but while being 2-3s behind, it does seem like a good assumption that you won't be able to beat them anytime soon. Up until this year, everybody was gloomy about the chances of a team out-designing RB, but if you throw enough resources for a car that's due in 2 years time, you surely have more chances than just being one step behind all the time and trying to catch up for the next race.

I love Alonzo and Raikkonen as drivers. In general I like Ferrari cars. But this years Ferrari failure makes me laugh. I am a big opponent of the special position Ferrari has in F1 with its rules veto and subsidy from Mr.E. To see them flop despite their special status brings joy to my heart.
Just a few thoughts about Ferrari and it's painful lack of performance lasting for 5 years now...
Everybody talks about the budget of the team , but how can we be so sure that our budget is so much bigger tan the rest of the field ?
It used to be a fact during the Shumi years because some papers were made public.
but now, with mercedes back in the game, which is such a much more massive commpany than ferrari, they could easily spend more than Ferrari, they have much more facilities and experience with v6 engines.
Secondly, me thinks that mercedes just made the right appointments to the key roles in the team. their technical team is terrific.
But at Ferrari, they just appointed specialists in aero or simulation in recent months, but nothing to prepare for the engine challenge they had to face. Ferrari didn't hire an engine specialist, they did what they could whith the people they had.
It's quite surprising when you think about it : Ferrari doesn't have the same experience and power that renault or mercedes have, because they only produced for years v12,v10 or v8....
There have already been reshuffles at Ferrari even before the 3rd race.
I think it is this attitude that harms Ferrari. Upper management (Montezemelo?) seem to have a zero tolerance approach to any solution that takes longer than the time taken to make the NEXT car. What you end up with are engineers who are under extreme pressure to produce performance, and fear being replaced within a year if they're not winning races. This probably leads to risk adverse behaviour, and possibly an unwillingness to invest time or energy in unusual or speculative technology, and instead focus on simple but time-consuming aspects which they know will give them slight, but ultimately bounded, improvement. For comparison, rumours had it that Mercedes' FRIC was being developed as early as 2011 and may have been one of the contributing factors to the "tyre-eater" characteristics of the the W02/W03, by 2013 it was considered a major edge for the team.
I would like to see Eric Boulier at Ferrari ASAP.
Domenicalli should have been sacked long ago. The mere fact that was not done earlier speaks badly about Montezemolo. He has himself to blame for 2014.
