Lotus and Sauber in the past season or two have come close to linking up with some oligarchs from Russia whose finances were suspect. VJ Malia a few years back faced the prospect of having his cars impounded by Indian tax authorities over unpaid debts. Flabbio Briatore? Don't let go of your wallet when he's around.
Formula One is top heavy with usavory characters whose finances are a bit obscure, including Max The Martinet Mosely and Bernie Ecclestone his own self. If you need to launder hundreds of millions, investing in Formula One may be the perfect way to do so.
