That was a disastrous weekend for Ferrari. I know, for sure, however, that there's a large re-organization going inside the team. While results may not be visible immediately, they are on fire now.

With the exception of politics ...when was the last time you heard of someone making changes to make things worse ?

Obviously they haven't found the solution.

Realisticly, the car is no better/no worse from the cars of the last few years...It is what they've been , a mediocre Ferrari Car and we're competing early on with Red Bull but usually ahead of everyone else. What' s different this year is that Merc is in another Formula.


My hope is that Allison's touch has only been minimal to this point and the reason why we haven't had much in the way of updates is there is a major overhaul coming.

Hopefully they will be testing a new Chassis this week.

Spain two days test was for Kimi, as Alonso was given two days at Bahrain

Hmmmmm. I suspected as much and it's par for the course really.

However, on the basis of Spain it's becoming more clear the way things are heading. They both ended up on pretty much the same piece of tarmac with one driver having done a stop less.

I'm not sure this is favourable treatment.

I like both the drivers, although, If I'm gonna be honest I lean a little more towards Alo. That being said I think that the rule is (if there is one) the lead driver gets first crack at when they want to change. Basically you can stop when you want as long as the lead driver isn't stopping that lap.

I also noticed that when Alonzo Came out, he already had 5 laps on his last set of Medium tires(they were far from brand new). I noticed that Kimi had run 2 extra laps in Quali...so was a 3 stop strategy even an option for kimi ?

Remember, there was broken Chassis on the 2nd day of the Bahrain test. One Could argue that Alonzo only got 1 day.

It is generally considered that Fernando is the best driver out there. Ferrari create there own driver restrictions by needing a known good commodity. So with that in mind and the drivers that would be available, he is there best choice. He also brings in $$$, Santander tend to follow him around.

Well, the essential truth is that it hasn't brought them any championships and it's severely hampered their constructors' position. I'm afraid the reality is beginning to bite hard at Ferrari because no one can fund their constructors' position for very much longer.
