If you watch his on boards from other eras, they look nothing like those years. Alonso naturally uses whatever style a car demands, that's part of what makes him so successful.
I disagree, he´s very brutal with the front end, that´s why it always seem like he runs more lock then everyone else.
I have never seen any driver be so aggressive with the steering in a car before.
(brutal or aggressive might be the wrong word but he´s very...let´s say "swift" with the steering wheel)
And i´m not even talking about his Renault days.

On the talk of Alonso being the best, you can have any driver as a fan but i think if you consider anyone other then Alonso the best right now you´re out of your bloody mind.

I think his own assertion of his skills was more or less spot on. 9.5 everywhere.

And HAAS will sponsor Ferrari in 2015.

Obviously they build 1 car, then setup each car to what ths driver wants. Why woul Ferrari build a car that only massa can take advantage, why not the other way?

If we learned anything from the Kimi/Massa years was that Kimi and Massa driving abilitIes are about equal. So am I suprised that Kimi is putting up Massa like numbers? absolutly not. Hey at the end of last season Grosjean was beating Kimi on a regular basis.

Kimi's signing was a mistake.. Grosjean or Hulk would have beenbetter. The Ferrari play it safe attitude allowed the Kimi sighning. What they fail to understand is they get paid to recognise the Ricciardos before they are discovered. Anybody could have thought of signing kimi. Bringing Bianchi or Hulk forward was the right move.
You think Bianchi or Hulk or Grosjean would have gotten much more out of this crap car Ferrari this year? You must be in la la land!

Look at Grosjean being frustrated in a --- car and doing nothing with it but complaining on the radio.
Bianchi is doing decent but still a backmarker compared to what other great drivers have done in --- cars from the back of the grid.
Hulk might have been a good option, but the whole weight thing would've just made it worse until the new rules. At best, he would've gotten almost the same results as Kimi did this year so far with all that bad luck.

I don't know. I don't look at their reaction time and don't have access to all their telemetry. The people at Ferrari Do. To me Kimi was a known quantity. We knew he would deliver Massa type numbers.... but then why did we release Massa? Why did we exchange 4 quarters for a $1 ?

To me, even though I like Kimi, the Kimi signing represents someone at Ferrari not doing the job and signing someone safe. If they had someone really good at Ferrari making these decisions we'd have Ricciardo or someone better than him we don't know about. That's what the job is all about. Signing FA when they did or bringing in Ricciardo now ...Well those are no brainers, not that they're bad choices just no brainers. Ferrari needs 1 experienced driver but 2 ?

Kimi was put in Ferrari to do what Massa could not do, that is keep up somewhat with Alonso when it comes to collecting points over a season.
However they probably did not bank on Kimi having this much issues.

He´s a known quantity, one of the most consistent drivers and when things work, a bloody fast racing driver.

People always bring up that Grosjean beat Kimi more times towards the end of last year, but they always omit the fact that the tyres were changed.
That's like saying Alonso is beating Kobayashi more times this year than ever!

I believe the real reason they signed Kimi was because they thought with the new rules and engine the F14T was going to be able to challenge the front that they wanted two top drivers to do what Mercedes is doing now. Sadly, the car turned out to be mediocre and so now people like someone to blame other than the guy that got fired.....I mean resigned.

Like I said. When they were team mates, they were pretty even. So to expect a different result 3 or 4 years later is unrealistic.

Not really even, Kimi beat him 2:1 and he has shown during his Renault stint he´s very consistent, which is exactly what Ferrari was looking for.

I believe the whole reason for kicking Kimi was because they did not want two nr1´s at the time, they considered Alonso a guy they wanted to win more titles with and Massa was gonna play second fiddle.
Then they realize that Massa can´t play second fiddle and it´s affecting their WCC runs so they brought in Kimi to solve it.

Mattiacci added that the announcement of Haas as a sponsor of Ferrari does not mean that the Italian outfit will supply engines to Haas's squad from 2016.

2007
1 Kimi Räikkönen Finnish Ferrari 110
2 Lewis Hamilton British McLaren-Mercedes 109
3 Fernando Alonso Spanish McLaren-Mercedes 109
4 Felipe Massa Brazilian Ferrari 94

2008
1 Lewis Hamilton British McLaren-Mercedes 98
2 Felipe Massa Brazilian Ferrari 97
3 Kimi Räikkönen Finnish Ferrari 75

2009
6 Kimi Räikkönen Finnish Ferrari 48
7 Nico Rosberg German Williams-Toyota 34.5
8 Jarno Trulli Italian Toyota 32.5
9 Fernando Alonso Spanish Renault 26
10 Timo Glock German Toyota 24
11 Felipe Massa Brazilian Ferrari 22

In 2009 Massa missed 8 of the 17 races caused by the spring that hit him in the head in Hungary. At the time of the accident Kimi had 10 point to Massa's 22.

Like I said...Pretty even.

Wait what? Kimi beat Massa 2:1? You have that the wrong way around. Massa beat Kimi 2:1. Felipe beat Kimi in 2008 and was ahead 22-10 in 2009 before the accident in Hungary

From Australia 2007 to Hungary 2009:
1 - Massa won more races than Kimi.
2 - Massa scored more points than Kimi.
3 - Massa had more pole positions than Kimi.
4 - Massa lead more laps than Kimi.
5 - Fastest laps is the only area where Kimi was ahead.

& currently Kimi is doing no better of a job against Alonso than Massa did, maybe even worse.

Perfect reaction to Ferrari today:

Also, did anyone else catch the look Matiacci gave Pat Fry after they were knocked out?
Yup.........he is not impressed with Fry at all.

Pat Fry confuses the --- out of me. When he first got to the team, they became nearly perfect on strategy, especially in 2012.

Since then....man. From Malaysia last year, it's been downright ugly.
