But in Rosberg's position, the important thing now is to play it safe and bring home as many points as is possible without risking too much. Should he not run into problems, this means of course winning the British GP. But should there be any issues, he needs to stay cool and not try to win at all costs.
No one is safe.

You can't play it safe with Hamilton as your teammate.
Lewis got a bit lucky today, but somewhat put himself in position with the pace and strategy. It does seem that when luck is evenly distributed it puts things in perspective. The WDC fight is very close.

However i won't change my mind on Hamilton. He needs to respect rosberg more and do analysis of himself and understand that he has to give it all to win this year.

was glad to hear him actually say that he will look back and improve on is Quali. That means he is actually going to look inside that thick skull of his and make adjustments. Rosberg did these mental preparations from the get go. It's good Lewis realizes that to win in these modern times, you have to plan and prepare mentally. Take the German approach to things, re-engineer yourself.

Lewis got some luck on his side today. He was driving very well in the race and may have had Rosberg anyway, but the DNF is what he needed to get back on terms in the championship.

I do however, still feel he needs to be doing less of this stuff:-

And spending more time preparing for each weekend, spending time in the simulator when he can etc.

At least everyone can shut up about Australia and bad luck, difference is Rosberg was leading and winning today, looking at Alonso-Vettel even with slight pace advantage passing him wasn't possible for LH. Australia = unknown, same as China.

I think with Alonso Vs. Vettel you had a combination of possibly the best driver on the grid, applying all of his experience and race craft, versus someone who's very quick but perhaps lacking in race craft. Also the underpowered Renault probably didn't help, considering Vettel was struggling to catch the Ferrari even with DRS.

Rosberg says he had it under control, and ultimately we don't know what would have happened. Hamilton was on a different strategy though, and that might have worked in his favour.

If you watch this interview:-

He finally acknowledges he's doing something seriously wrong in qualifying. Hopefully he can work on this for the next race. If he can qualify ahead I have no doubt he can beat Rosberg every time.

Are you serious? He is asked by the BBC to do a nice intro. Lewis works very hard.

I hope neither of them gets a DNF anymore.. And hope they battle it out on track, that would be great.

And it's open again. Mind you that we all are fanboys. I myself am a fanboy. Of myself of course. I just can't stop worshipping turbof1. He owns everybody, he even owns Ecclestone if the old hairy dude joins this forum. Anybody who want to disclaim that is a fanboy. Also of himself.

This fanboy will lock this thread again if anyone calls anybody else a fanboy, except himself.

2006- Webber DNF (water leak)
Rosberg DNF (accident)

2008 - Hamilton 1st
Kovalainen 5th
Rosberg 10th
Nakajima 16th

2010 - Hamilton 4th
Button 5th
Rosberg 8th
Schumacher 9th

2012 - Button 2nd
Schumacher 7th
Rosberg 10th
Hamilton DNF (puncture)

Though a lap down in 2012 LH had front running pace and I don't think you could give a fair appraisal of Rosberg vs Hamilton here as he's never had comparable equipment so I've included their team mates as a reference. I expect them to be evenly matched as usual :)

Lewis has better results, but also had a better car.

This could be a tough race for Nico, as the last 3 race weekends at Hockenheim have been affected by rain, it's a heavy breaking track, and a high fuel consumption track.

I think Rosberg might edge him actually. He´s gelling with the car in all types of situations now and i think lady luck hasn´t entirely switched sides yet.
