There´s no other car wasted more than the BAR 006-Honda V10

Not even a race win.

When Sato could fight for podiums, and Button was more worried about flirting with girls than racing cars... guess what could have happened in the hands of the cream at that time: Trulli, Alonso, Raikkonen or Fisichella.

In qualy that car was soooo fast. It was near a dominant one...why isn´t in the poll???

A Mistery.
I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

I have to say the Minardi PS05. After years and years of struggles with no money, Minardi did one final car. The PS05. Even though it wasn't succesful in any way.

I always wonder what it could have been if the team did have the facilities and finances to extract maximum performance out of it. So to me, this is one of the best, quite a good car out of a team that did not have the money to do anything.

All of that with a tub designed in 2001!!! What they did in 2005 was arguably a Miracle, even more considering the tyres they had to cope with...

100% agree with you, and arguably this car is the reason they got bought by Mateschitz.

This team showed in 2008 what they could do with proper management, good finances and a couple of good drivers (Vettel & Bourdays)...

Here are some comparisons (over one lap) between great non-WDC winning cars and their WDC-winning counterparts. The time in brackets is the average difference in qualifying.

2000:
1. McLaren MP4/15
2. Ferrari F-2000 (+ 0.115)

2003:
1. Ferrari F2003GA
2. Williams FW25 (+ 0.196 s)

2005:
1 .Renault R26
2. McLaren MP4/20 (+ 0.056 s)

2006:
1. Ferrari F248
2. Renault R26 (+ 0.067 s)

2007:
1. McLaren MP4-22
2. Ferrari F2007 (+ 0.100 s)

2008:
1. McLaren MP4-23
2. Ferrari F2008 (+ 0.072 s)

2009:
1. Red Bull RB5
2. Brawn BGP-001 (+ 0.050 s)

2012:
1. McLaren MP4-27
2. Red Bull RB8 (+ 0.148 s)

Experimental Uncertainties
1. Driver performance differential
2. Fuel Weight (2003, 2006, 2007 & 2008)
3. Qualifying pace vs race pace

The RB9 was on average only 0.176 seconds faster than the WO4 in qualifying last year (taking the fastest lap in qualifying of each weekend); and they shared 11 poles to 8, yet the difference in race pace between the two teams was generally much greater.

Another example of where qualifying pace and race pace clearly did not correlate was 2002. The F2002 was on average only 0.236 s faster than the FW24, yet on race day Ferrari easily had 1 second on Williams most of the time.

Hard to believe that the Renault was the faster car in qualifying in 2005. Not the way I remember it! Although I know there were a few half wet qualifyings where Fisi stuck it on pole while Alonso, Kimi and Montoya were back in 17th

Yes, you beat me to it! The one and only non-race winning potential WDC winning car. The BAR was better than the Ferrari that year.
Honda!
