the Bruce and Denny show
...
That's actually Denny Hulme and Peter Gethin in 1970, after Dan Gurney had to step off due to sponsorship issues,
but this is however the 1971 Denny and Peter show, little did they know what Penske had up his sleeve for 1972;

I recall visiting the MOTAT Museum in Auckland NZ as a kid,
& marvelling at Bruce's 1st road-car McLaren, the (AFAIR) - M6B..
..It really stood out as modern/futuristic among the older relics there.. ..anyone got a pic of it - to put up?

(& 1st to do a surface traverse across Antarctica,
in good Kiwi style - riding a Massey Ferguson farm
tractor - with a few extemporised mod's to hack the task).
Nah - thanx - but that's a racing car, Bruce might have used that as a basis for his GT road car though..

Yeah, Bruce was impressed by the NASCAR Ford 427 powered GT he & Chris Amon drove to win Le Mans in `66..
& wanted to build a McLaren GT road car - using a Can-Am chassis as a basis..
