The Sauber F1 Team has announced in a statement that it has extended the contracts of its current drivers, Marcus Ericcson and Felipe Nasr.The Swede and the Brazilian will again form the driver line-up for the Swiss Team in the 2016 FIA Formula One World Championship.

Could be put as a possible arrangement/proposal/settlement through arbitration, however judging by last years results of 0 points scored, that might not be a strong proposal and the main driving factor behind VDG is he just wants to race.Slife wrote:Maybe Sauber could ask if Bernie would help to pay off vdG and possibly Sutil, and credit/debit (whatever the correct term is) that to their future winnings ? but following reports, the application for the super licence was sent in on March 11th (yesterday). Technically, in special circumstances it can be done quicker, but not on that short notice. So while VdG wins, he may still not be able to race. This is far from over...
