The GT500 has 500 bhp right? So...assuming a 10-12 % loss in power...440 isn't too far off of the mark.

Comparing the Mustang to the Ferrari is akin to Dolly Parton to Sophia Loren.

Back when the Shelby Mustang came out, factory engineers fudged the numbers by not only measuring from the crankshaft, but also by discounting other losses like fan belts, accessories, alternator, and so on. I do believe they even discounted valve train losses, so basically the power numbers were a fictional abstract where the engine produced power with all the power-robbing accessories and rest of the drivetrain removed.

Ooooh that's hardly fair......

Maybe Marilyn Monroe to Sophia Loren - both have a certain "adults only" appeal - one is more subtle, more classy than the other. Both probably have decent performance, one may be a bit more cranky than the other.

Anyway - I think the Ferrari looks stunning in black........just like.......;)

There's a pic of Sophia with Ferrari logo by manchild somewhere in this forum :)
