The talk is that it doesn't help on corner entry, rather it helps coming out of the corner i.e. more downforced = less wheelie's = less anti-wheelie interference = fast acceleration out of corner.
I'm not sure I agree that it wouldn't also help with corner entry - I would suspect it also has some benefit on entry as well. But I'm not well versed on this things.
Race pace is also good, FP runs they have been high up.
