#F1 Ferrari suggested 2,2l V8 twin turbo, revlimit 17.000/min, no MGU-H, standardised KERS & Turbo for new engine formula.
will not happen in a million years.

#F1 Honda open for new engine development. During the discussion, Honda mentioned idea of 4 electrical in-hub motors.
quite possible by a good margin, but not before 2020.

#F1 Mercedes wants to change as little as possible. Especially no standard turbo. Agreed increase of fuel & fuel flow limits for more power.
Agree on this, no way the turbo will be standardized. Not likely.

Introduction of new #F1 engine formula probably not before 2017. If manufacurers can't agree, Ecclestone threatens to decide on his own.
Manufacturers definately will NOT agree.
Ferrari will try and veto and boycott by threatening to leave,
Bernie will be up to his fun tricks by saying
'they can leave if they want'.
And it
wouldn't even be that unreasonable by Bernie because you can't keep living in the jurassic era.
Automobile industry is changing, and petrol and diesel engines are slowly becoming 'obsolete'.
The ONLY way for Ferrari to actually survive into the future is to EMBRACE electric powering
and becoming the BEST in that field.
They have all the facility, respect and money to their disposal to make themselves the very BEST motorsport electric
manufacturer. If they have the slightest amount of smartness in their brains, then they'll aim for becoming the very best
electric sportscar provider in the world. V8 2.2 l engines are totally unreasonable. Can't even believe they proposed such
a rediculous idea. they have 2 options;
go extinct or become the best.
Of all manufacturers, Ferrari has the potential to re-invent themselves making them even more popular and more legendary by fully embracing and entering the electric automotive branch by becoming the most advanced electric supercar/sportscar builder ever. Mclaren will definately go there in the future, Ferrari better beat them to it. In the
meanwhile, Tesla is gaining terrain. Ferrari should go hand in hand with Tesla.
If they are so stone-aged headed that they want completely obsolete engines [ V8 engines ],
then there is no room for Ferrari in F1 anymore.

It's
their own
call.
They can be a part of F1 if they wish.
They should.
But even american manufacturers are slowly stepping away from V8 powertrains.
V6 powertrains are starting to win from V8 engines more and more, and with 4-cilinder engines
like that in the new Mustang, it's a definate predecessor for
the start of the end of the V8 engine.
I reckon nascar will slowly transfer into V6 Turbo engines in about 10 years, give or take, living alongside eachother
V6T vs V8 NA for a good near-decade, when finally it'll be V6T only in Nascar.
