Amazing idea by Microsoft

Perfect tool for F1 in design and simulation specially when it gets combined with CFD

Indeed, exciting technology! As well for the fans of F1.

Same goes for the Oculus rift imo. I'm dreaming about the days I'll watch an F1 race onboard from the 360Β° T-cam with an Oculus! :D

NASCAR is allready on it! F1 will follow -in 20 years or so-.

Againt, slightly off-topic from the HoloLens, but this TED-talk shows another cool thinking process in terms of virtual/augmented reality in sports.

Watching the MotoGP and seeing Lorenzo's (I think it was) speed/gear changes/revs etc. from Rossi's onboard camera, I was thinking that info could be overlaid onto the drivers' visor.

Not sure if I actually like the idea - is it too 'artificial' rather than instinctual? Would it distract them? - but an interesting idea, maybe.
