Spyker Sold :(

Post

To Mallya who wants to put "Team India" on the grid, great :x

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/61982

Whats the odds of this owner lasting for a whole season? TBH I think I've got more chance of winning the lottery... And I don't even do it.

Just as it looked the team was going somewhere. Just as this guy doesn't change roles of people like Mike Gascoygne it might not be all bad, but now I can't see the team getting off the back two rows.

seriously, you didn't exactly need the hubble space telescope and a clairvoyant to see spyker NOT going the distance in F1...

more concerned with what happens to one of F1's obvious young talents now (sutil)...

so in less than 3 years its gone from jordan to midland to spyker to Something else. I Think next year they will be sold back to Eddie jordon again to Paul Stoddard.

Its really getting silly, i am fairly sure that team does not know who they are anymore.

It sure is. Team India  Haven't they heard of A1GP? The changeover from Jaguar to Red Bull... good for morale. The change over from Jordan to Midland to Spyker to Team India in as many years... not so good. I just hope this guy knows what he is doing (or at least employs advisors that do!)

I just love "honest" billionaires from a countries where most of the population struggles to survive every day. The very reason for their "success" lies exactly in poverty of enslaved and robbed population.

What is F1 becoming now? Constructors are not welcomed but instead of them once respectable teams are being bought and sold for money laundering purposes and who knows what else to the suspiciously rich people who couldn't tell 2 stroke from 4 stroke engine. What ever happened from people who actually constructed f1 cars?

F1 really reminds me of an once decent girl who was forced into prostitution by some scumbag. Now she's nothing but an old whore except for those who know the truth and for those who have known her before she was abused.

Allow AWD and bring in the Audi F1 team.

I can see this guy selling the team in another year to make a quick buck. Spyker should have approached the other teams that were trying to get the last spot that was awarded to prodrive.
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

but that would have been a fair and decent thing to do. Thats not how you make money.

This is a huge shame, Spyker were getting better each race, I wonder who'll be next.

Ok guys I am from India so my views might be a little partial but anyways.............listen up...

I know Mallya personally and I can assure everybody on this forum that he is not just some rich spoiled bastard who like sto show-off his wealth. He really is an extremely big racing fan.............when Schumi announced his retirement, the kind of things he told me about schumi's driving n all..........even I was amazed at his knowledge. I know it may seem like Mallya gets his ass wherever he can show off his wealth but that is really not the case and the way he manages his companies is really awesome. He has that burning desire to be the best and that shows in everything he does. I dont know if you ppl know this but he has actually done a lot of racing himself (karting) and even holds a few lap records.

Secondly, Mallya really doesnt take up a business venture just for the sake of selling it a few years later. I can assure you that he is gonna do whatever it takes to make the team climb the ladder. I wont be surprised if he poaches a few top ppl also, coz that the way he works............he wants to be the best at whatever he does and he will do all he can to make this a success..........believe me...........he does have the resources to make this a success.......and he is damn smart....I bet he'll be at the majority of the races......have u ever seen a toyota board member at the races?

He does have a passion for the sport guys, give him a chance.........I assure you, he'll be one of the best guys around in the paddock.

Lastly, as far as Team India goes...........I really dont see the problem...Spyker kept Albers coz he was Dutch......this is normal.....I am pretty sure atleast one of the drivers will be an Indian and I would love to see Narain come back..coz all this time in testing with Williams.......he has really matured as a driver.........you will definetley see his talent on the track next season...............
