Scuderia Ferrari SF15-T

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Perhaps we are not talking about the same thing, but the new rear wing upper flap I described was not raced. Compare your shot of Kimi's car that has the new flap, with the race day picture here. It is clear that the flap meets the top of the endplage without the downward curve on the flap:

Definitely not the same thing, i'm talking front wing.

It has a gurney on the inside end (closer to the nose) something i never seen before.

That gurney was present when they introduced the latest spec front wing at the British GP. Not sure if it was used before that on the older wing(s).

The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

https://twitter.com/albrodpul/status/634319538255974400 In addition to the traditional spec and low downforce wing Ferrari will also use normal wing without gurney flap
https://twitter.com/albrodpul/status/634299794027061248 Ferrari also added a third hole to dissipate heat from front brake rotors

Clearly using the pre-Barcelona side pods and turning vanes. Also the tire squirt floor splitter has gone back to the single curved unit rather than the split two piece design of the last several races. Strange to see them revert after so many races with the Barcelona spec. Wonder if this is a better setup for low dowforce/drag circuits.

Compare with this shot from Austria:

There seems to be the dent/curve of the new sidepod above the UPS logo on Kimi's car

But it's not there on Vettel's car which means they are running different sidepods on both cars
