Right now i doubt there will be any Renault Lotus Mercedes, or even Lotus Mercedes for that matter if they don't find investors fast. Next week they'll be in court again, and things don't look that bright atm.wickedz50 wrote:Does anyone know who is getting hired to do the job of team principal at Renault Lotus Mercedes?

I said it before: unless there's a bulletproof contract attached driving for Haas means absolutely nothing, they have all the on track data for 4 years and a bunch of Lotus people, they kept Raikkonen instead and got stuck on Bottas god knows why - they didn't need any Haas data for that, did they? No Sauber data helped Perez and Hulk and I doubt Bianchi declarations were honest.lebesset wrote:as baldrick would say , I have a cunning plan [ apologies to non uk TV watchers ]
Haas is , in effect , going to be the ferrari junior team , using all possible components from them ; even the chassis will be italian
Kimi will be retiring at the end of next season and Grosjean would then look like a shoe in to me , being already in the Ferrari camp
Quick and with some experience - sounds like a dozen of drivers given half a season (the fit part). Same can be said about Maldo and if you stretch it about Button, Vergne or anyone really, no problem for Renault then"He would be an asset to any team with his experience - and he's quick. So yeah, he will be a loss. "He fits in very well, he's been here a long time so that has made things an awful lot easier"
