ther may have been a good reason in the past for allowing this to ferrari , but there certainly isn't today
so when this agreement expired in 2012 , why did Todt renew it ?

Lol funny Mercedes has done way more damage to the F1 product on the track than Ferrari have over the last 2 years. You may want to thank ferrari for finding a loophole and allowing in season token usage...on the flip side which team has blocked(vetoed) every chance for in season development?? .mercedes... if you are a Mercedes fan then its all good for you because your team has an advantage and their vote was needed to allow other teams to catch up.Ferrari on the other hand Vetoed a ridiculous idea by the FIA to basically dictate what the engine manufacturers profit margin should be... that veto benefitted every single engine manufacturer not just Ferrari.. mercedes on the other hand vetoed every engine idea to preserve their advantage.SiLo wrote:Right now I would say Mercedes are doing more for F1 than Ferrari are. Mercedes was willing to allow the changes because it realised having two manufacturers struggling so badly risked them pulling out, which would be bad for F1.

Mercedes, Renault, Ferrari and Honda all agreed with the FIA to increase token usage for next from 25 to 32, 7 extra tokens.
Mercedes could easily have voted against this to preserve it's advantage. They did not.

Which means the proposed freeze on the upper and lower crankcase, crankshaft, air-valve system and ancillaries drive remain unfrozen to development.

Do you belive that there is no difference between Ferrari, Williams, Mclaren and Mercedes? From a commercial view, Ferrari is the most important brand for F1. Even when they don't win people talk about them. Not the imaginary Mercedes veto, that doesn't exist, but still allows you to post absolute tripe.
