I couldn't agree more. Plus imo it adds a futuristic touch to look of the cars.turbof1 wrote:If it passed collision testing, I see little to no reason not to introduce this next year. More then enough solutions to keep the windscreen clean.
Regarding open cockpit purity: I don't see why this goes more against the spirit of F1 then a halo. But keep a good section of the cockpit open. Imo, the halo is even less F1 as it looks clumsy compared to the elegant red bull solution.

I think it's something we need to get used to. It would have helped if the shield stretched a bit further down the nose and curved a towards the top.FrukostScones wrote:nearly as huge as an LMP windscreen.
but looks okeyish, with wider 2017 cars visual impact might be reduced proportionwise...

It's ironic when a 40 old year car which is praised as a sigil for F1, has a rather similar windshield to the contested aeroscreen.
yeah, but I doubt the visibility for the driver is better... esp. with those nice "a-pillars"...geraldix wrote:Can't wait to see it on track! Looks great so far! So much better than that thing from Ferrari!
