Who would come out on top at Williams if they hired Webber and Villeneuve?

Webber. Villeneuve has been out for a year and he didn't exactly make the best out of the BAR005, although half of the time it wasn't his fault.

Webber has the pace nowadays, but Villeneuve is notoriously hard as a team mate. He is mentally draining. Now H-H Frentzen isnt a great driver but in Villeneuve's championship year he was JV's team mate and he was abismal. So its hard to call. But Webbers got a strong head, so I'd tip him to come off best.

Fisichella wants to go to Ferrari....it's his dream and he it's public...he is waiting for the end of next year to see if Schummy retires....so he can have a change of getting a seat at Ferrari....if he signs for Williams it will be a 2 year contract which means that if Schummy retires at the end of 2005 Fissi wont have a change at the Ferrari seat because his contract ends at the end of 2006 with Williams. So my guess is that he will stay at Sauber...and as soon as Schummy decides to retire he will start doing some tests with Ferrari. (Ferraris engine contract with Sauber has a clause where it says Sauber has to let their drivers test with Ferrari in case Ferrari asks for it...and later this summer Fissi is supossed to test at the wheel of the F2004)

ha.....the fish at ferrari......

has anyone counted how many times this guy has crashed or gone off the track. yes, he is trying very hard, but compared to the rest. he's a kamakaze pilot reincarnated as an italian f1 driver.

ferrari will never give the fish a run. he has a better chance of winning a gp (no he never won interlagos) then racing a ferrari.

go fish.

Hudsonhawk, I think you might find that the official ruling is that Fisi DID win at interlargos in 2003, whether you approve of it or not. Fisi is regarded by his peers as being one of the most if not THE most naturally gifted driver on the grid today (yes that includes Schumi). This was voted by the rest of the grid for the 2003 Driver's Driver award. For him to get an accolade like that whilst driving in an EJ-13 Jordan is a bit special.

And I think the other 19 drivers on the grid at the time have a pretty good idea of what makes a good driver.

On the piont of Williams, I don't think Fisi would turn down a Williams drive if it was offered to him. Yes Ferrari is his dream, but he is in an underperforming Jordan right now...He needs a top-flight drive to prove to the scuderia that he is the man to replace Schumi when he retires. If he sticks around at lower teams he may pull a Villeneuve and loose his passion for the sport (and his speed). I think if a Williams drive was to become an option for him he would see it as a step towards Ferrari and take it.

Spencifier,

Brother, i didn't think anyone would bite the bait on the, "no, he never won interlagos". There wasnt any bait on the hook either. Are you hungry mister...??

He's in a sauber at the moment, not a jordan. Isnt the sauber a 2003 ferrari anyway ??? (go the conspiracy theory).

Did shumacher need a "top flight drive" to prove to "screw-dare-rear-ya"(scuderia) that he could do the job.

Has webber had a "top flight drive" to prove to williams that he is talented (as i understand its probably a done deal for 05).

Did jacques need the "top flight drive" to come across to williams when they were the top team.

Spencifier you said, "For him to get an accolade like that whilst driving in an EJ-13 Jordan is a bit special." Its definately special, a very very special guy, i love him, he made f1 humorous for me. When f1 became a "follow the leader spectacle" - enter "the fish". He was crash testing that f1 jordan even after it passed the crash test. Launching wheels, blowing blocks and cutting grass in his million dollar lawn mower.

I dont know of any driver that would truely admit to any other driver being more talented then themself, so obviously the one who is voted by the other drivers would have to be only mediocre, hes the most liked driver -YES, thats all. His accolade is limited in the talent department. Hes another alesi.

The Fish will continue eating plankton in his little fish bowl. If fish was truely as good as everyone dribbled then why hasnt someone taken him on ?

Keep on crash'n
