Where will FA end up??

I personally think Alonso will best fit into Renault.But there is so much going around we can't yet predict where will he land up.The fact is no team will give him a one year contract which he wants.And RBR is team that will consider a long term relationship with FA coz this will be the only beneficial way for them,whereas FA would want 2 go to either BMW or Ferrari after completing one season in any of the teams.But BMW will hire him only after 2009 and Ferrari after 2010.So he may go 4 a 2 year contract with Renault and then go for Ferrari.But there is no certainty that Renault will give him a good car.So in that case his best chance would be to go for a 1 year contract and the sign BMW.But with so much of complexity its hard to predict about his future perspective.

I believe that Renault will be strong in 2008 and I would love to see Alonso back with the French team where he belongs. But I would hate it if Kovalainen would leave !

I really believe Renault will be good and if Alonso moves back to his old team, he will strike back harder than before!

Perhaps FA sits out '08 and goes to BMW in '09. Then he starts complaining about Thiessen favoring Hiedfeld, buys himself out of his contract and ends up as The Star of Force India in '10.

I do hope very much that Piquet Jr. isn't racing instead of Kovalainen. Heikki has done an awesome job, and in pre season testing did better than young Piquet.

I think the funniest part of all of this will come with the total revolution that the R28 will be due to how badly the R27 worked this year. The last test I think shows that although the R27 underperformed with TC, the testing times last week showed that it was actually pretty damn good with no TC.

I hope that Renault dont change too much from the R27 just because of the fact that it didnt do well under 2007 specs, and come to find out that it would be a killer philosophy for the 2008 regs...

EDITED - But he will be an F1 driver in 2008.

Instead of wearing a hat with a beer-can and suckle tube, oversize shorts and cleft, pioneered, IMO, by our N American adoration of children's clothes, he will be wearing a helmet and driving suit.

The BBC are quoting saying that FA will make up his mind in his own time.. sounds more like he can't get the deal he wants before the Ferrari seat comes up

I remember during the 06 brazil grandprix fernando askes his former renault team, never to paint their car Red. (So much hatred for ferrari then) what made him change his mind , But it will be a great combination if Fernando comes to Ferrari .(a chance to repeat the 00 to 04 ear which was a boring period for F1.Not for Micheal and Ferrari.

How could you expect that entire post to be taken seriously? Was there ever any actual ¨news¨ about Alonso possibly joining Ferrari? Or mainly a bunch of rumours spread around by people like you guys?

OT - On a personal note ... it's funny, I didn't learn to actually spell Ferrari until I was about 37 ... probably some internal complex because I couldn't afford one ...but then, can't be it ... cause I can't afford one now either
