IMHO Ferrari/Vettel should have changed to intermediates before the lap before the safety car ha entered since it was already 2 laps that pilots were sayng it would be ready for inters soon (if it is possible to change from rain to inter under safety car has the italian sky commentators have told).
In that way Vettel would have lost less time and probably would have been ahead of a lot of cars that have pitted when the safety car has gone in.
Moreover he would have avoided to wait for Raikkonen to pit.

- Ferrari drivers - just awful race. Vettel errors, 5 s for forcing off track is funny, never heard that penalty before. Inventive from FIA Raikkonen - painful to watch behind Perez How much quicker this Ferrari was?35 behind slower RB.

Oh please, even a bad Silvertone race is better than most tracks good ones. Maybe Rosbergs driving style just isnt conducive to gearbox reliability at Silverstone. Stop with the painfully thinly veiled bias, again.

Yes. That was quite bizarre and now we have this happen. I think they may come down hard on Nico and Mercedes only because they reiterated the rules on radio communications just after Perez

"Gearbox failure!" That message is aceptable. But not "Press ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A to fix the Gearbox Failure!"

Back on track - What's the point then? It doesn't help to tell someone that his gearbox is about to explode. It's one thing, to not be able to tell someone that he is in the wrong engine mode and how to get back into the right one (unles it's going to damage the car) and a completely different thing, telling someone what to do, for his gearbox not to fail.

That's the point though. Without that info it's no points for Rosberg.

Telling someone how to fix a problem is not the same as telling them that there is a problem. The rule you bolded only applies in the latter case.

I think the rules are pretty poor in this area and it's led to a heck of a lot less traffic for the fans to hear too (although I believe that's due to Bernie clamping down on FOM and hiding it under the cloak of this rule). That it's only going to get worse is disheartening.

Well his Gbox was jammed in 7th. And after some buttons he managed to solve that
