Hamilton + Vettel = Schumi

Well, just an interesting fact (at least a bit interesting): with Lewis' last win, in Germany, his numbers plus Vettel's numbers match Schumi's.

They have, together, 91 victories and 7 titles (49/3 for Hamilton and 42/4 for Vettel).

What does this mean? Absolutely nothing, but is nice to see how amazing are Schumi's numbers. They seem almost unreacheable.

If either of them had been in Schumacher's position back in the day, they both would have emulated him. As would Alonso. The best car, unlimited testing, bespoke tyres, a compliant team mate and a team dedicated to the number 1 driver.

That's not to take away from Schumacher: he was given an opportunity and he grabbed it with both hands.

The best ensure they have the best and do their best with it. It applied in Fangio's day and it still applies today.
