I think ZGuitierez will stay. He is not doing a bad job.

As for Button being a 3rd driver. He actually has the best deal of the 3 drivers. He probably knows mclaren wont be at the front, and i think he saves himself that frustration. He can also find time to do other things and develop himself outside of Formula1.
And with a 2 year deal where can drive any race if the need arises, what's not to like?
I actually think his deal is pretty good. He wont be winning the WDC next year, so might as well enjoy the ride developing the car, racing the odd race, and then still being available for 2018 should stoff end up being rubbish.

Alonso is the one who should be worried about his future. He has to face another rookie teammate. Lets see if he throws the toys out the pram again.

Surprised at Button's 'retirement'. Williams stated his chance had sailed, to be honest, i think that is bollocks, they knew he was 'handicapped' by Mclaren until september, and we're now 3 days in. either way, Vandoorne now at Mclaren, not really a surprise. be interesting to see what he manages to do next year.
So that 2nd Williams spot is interesting. Exciting line-up my *rse, Bottas kindof ruins the idea the lineup will be exciting to be honest.
not that he is particularly bad, but has grown to become one of the most boring drivers on the field imho.
So Perez staying another year at Force India makes sense, though i kindof had the expectancy to see him go to Renault, but 2018 probably will be a better year to switch.

So who on earth in the 2nd Williams seat?

Nasr, Wehrlein and Ocon are the only ones in my mind to go there.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Lance Stroll there. The more I think about it the more obvious it seems. There's been a lot of involvement already, with Stroll test driving an FW36 for 20 days (and from what I remember positive feedback from the team, although I can't find a source now). He's leading the European F3 championship which will get him a superlicence when he wins it, and he has a ton of money behind him.

If you want excitement you give maldonado the next race seat for 2017 only.

He may have more money to inject as well.
At this stage i think pastor was an asset to the sport. It needs a driver like pastor.

Sainz looks like the best bet for Renault, he will be a star at Renault. The silly season looks like coming to an end.Wait , we still don't know who will get that 2nd seat at williams, if not Button & Perez then who is the 2nd driver at williams Nasr is still struggling against Ericcson, so Nasr is definitely not the best choice available.

I am quite excited with this chance. I also thought that Perez would join Renault but perhaps Ferrari would be a good choice in 2018. His comment about the dream coming true sounds more to join the Scuderia but who knows!.

Ericcson is doing a fine job so he will stay. Nasr is also bringing some money so perhaps he will stay as well.

Kvyat and Maldonado at Sauber. enough money to get the team a bit forward,
enough at the back to crash into eachother without taking the entire front field with them,
and enough reason to cause a redflag thanks to the debris, neutralising the field after just
1 lap and cause a restart. or just friggin put Maldo in a Mercedes, and see what he does.
