Bottas want to Renault but only for one year not two.
If Williams lets him go (and his 5 Mio $).
So again, STROLL/NASR at Williams? hahhahaha
I used 30 million as an example, never did i say it was an actual real world figure. Exegaration to drive the point home.Sniffit wrote:Not saying that you are wrong but remember that Ericssons backers have ponied up around $20-25 million a year without asking for any space on the car up until this season.can wrote:I can't imagine that Carlos Slim pays 30 million dollars for those tiny Telcel logos on the mirror of the Haas.
I think they pay maximum 5 million dollars... Correct me if I am wrong.
Edit: and his main backers still aren't visible.
I understand the Point you were trying to make. I just wanted to point out that there are examples of sponsors throwing huge piles of money at teams to get "their" driver in a seat and nothing else, so to value a sponsors comitment by the size of the logos or other such metrics are bound to be error prone.Manoah2u wrote:I used 30 million as an example, never did i say it was an actual real world figure. Even if it's 5 million, the question is, would a different driver than Esteban make it worth the change? Similarly, I don't know how aimed Gene Haas is with his CNC tools to expand into Mexico. I dont' think he does, but if using a mexican gains him apart from 5 million Slim money also 5 million in CNC equipment in Mexico, then it's worth the deal, rather than NO 5 million dollars from Slim and 'slim' chance to sell his CNC stuff were he to hire i dunno, Haryanto for laughs.
it's an example intended at trying to use team reasoning on using the services of a certain driver, whether that's through actualy competitiveness or through being a canal for money flow.

Ocon was tipped to go to Renault earlier in the season, but I'm now unsure if they would take a rookie. But perhaps they'd like a Frenchman in the team for the long haul. Paired with Hulkenberg it might be a good balance of experience and fresh talent.edu2703 wrote:3) I want to know from you, guys! Who would you prefer to be teammate of Nico Hulkenberg at Renault: Bottas, Magnussen or Ocon?

It is understood Hulkenberg has signed a two-year contract to cover the 2017 and '18 seasons, with an option to extend the deal into a third season in '19.
what else are you 100% sure of. Rosberg WDC?edu2703 wrote:If only a 'exclusive' rumor published by a non-trusted source (Autobild) is enough to create a hype, well ok...FrukostScones wrote:Rumors of Hülkenberg to Renault intensifying...![]()

Sorry to spoil your illusions, but he will stay at Force India. Of that I'm 100% sure. Especially after what happened to Perez.
