that is true then.. still strange. Wehrlein deserves this seat much more.

Look who came of the woodwork one of the four but top RF1 boss Stoll: Renault's Stoll praises Palmer's 'team spirit' http://en.f1i.com/news/79581-renaults-s ... pirit.html

He praised Palmer's team spirit in the form of a fat check :D . If you didn't know who's making decisions and why 'Mercedes budget' team is keeping pay-drivers with no achievements and little perspective. BTW how many races did Stoll attend?

Credit to Force India and VJ Mallya, they chose talent over money.

Cool. Says a lot about Wehrlein, really.
"Explain the ending to F1 in football terms"
"Hamilton was beating Verstappen 7-0, then the ref decided F%$& rules, next goal wins
while also sending off 4 Hamilton players to make it more interesting"

Perfect decision, talented driver to the best midfield team in the grid. =D> =D>

SFI always signs one pay driver and other talented, but here their pay driver is scoring more points than the talented one. :D

But I still think Ocon will bring some discount from Mercs team.

I think that Renault is forced for this decison, they hadn't the choise, because Ocon, Magnusen,Nasr or some other, want multi year deal. And that is problem for Renault, because they want the top driver for 2018. If the speculation about Botas is true, there is explanation.

- Are you his toto Wolff ;-) or just repeating his fairy tales?
- Ocon's F1 talent is very much theoretical, he may have it or not, we'll see, pretending that he got the fourth best car seat without Mercedes' marketing and financial support because he fits some niche is avoiding reality.

- If it was based on talent Wolff wouldn't have to run around trying to find him a place. He has some nerve to mention hiring based on talent with Wehrlein in F1 and the whole driver market situation big teams co-created.
- This is how it works in marketing fake world, you mention it if it's the opposite (Wolff) or mention it and try to turn around (Stroll). Yes I have money but...
"Force India have a strong record of working with young drivers and have again shown courage and vision to take Esteban under their wing."
No, they have a habit of hiring on F1 merit they just changed with Ocon. Let's see:
- Sutil - yes, kind of but not exactly (incomparable situation - 4th best team now, paying driver, later kept and rehired instead of some 'young talent')
- Fisichella - no
- Perez - no
- Hulkeneberg - no
- Di Resta - yes. Where is this 'strong record' Mr. Wolff?

Esteban Ocon closing In on Force India deal.
So Ocon is the favourite Mercedes son then. A car that can fight for podiums when Poor old Werlien is stuck in the Manor.
