Remember the story of Steve Jobs and how he was expelled from his very own Apple only to return years latter and took it to another lever?
I dream now of such scenario for Ron Dennis, and I truly hope we haven't seen the last of him under the Mclaren belt

Small difference, Jobs was 30 when he was outed from Apple and Ron Dennis is 69 now. Also, Jobs developed himself in the decade away from Apple and the tech developed in that time to enable his vision.

Ron Dennis has great working ethics but less real vision then someone like Jobs

What about the vision Ron had 3-4 decades ago about a team of 25/30 people who grew up to this international sports & racing cars giant called Mclaren?

A bit my point indeed, if Dennis would have been fired because the MP4 project was failing (around 1983) and they would refer back to aluminium and cosworth engines only to make his return in the mid nineties to revolutionise F1, yes. But he got the chance to develop his vision, a bit if Jobs would never been fired.

They have been constantly producing the best chassis on the grid since 2015. Only if they had a Merc PU i'm sure Fernando would've been a 4 times world champion by now.

Wonder what Honda is thinking right now, joined a sinking ship throwing loads of money and now all this turmoil. Bet they wish they took the Redbull route.
Well, first of all, the haven't got a Mercedes PU. Someone made the decision to go for Honda instead. Next, there are multiple indications that their chassis isn't actually that good. For instance, loosing a rain soaked Brazilian GP to a STR with a 2015 Ferrari PU, at the moment two seasons of development behind.

It is one of the more beautiful cars on the grid.

STR didn't get ahead of McLaren on Speed. They did it on strategy. They never pitted to intermediate wets. It had nothing to do with the Chassis.

Alonzo's McLaren was faster that the STRs in all 3 sectors. Including the S2 which is the one with all the curves. I think it's taken the whole year but I think they finally have a better chassis than STR.

Faster by a tenth in S2, with a double WC behind the wheel, around 4 times the budget and a years more of development on the chassis-PU setup. They should have been at least a second faster.

You ARE aware that Alonso spun on the last restart and had to come from way back of the field right? Also gaps don't matter in a race that had 2 red flags

Not looking at the gaps but looking at the sector timing sheets, where Alonso was 1 tenth faster then Sainz in S2 (the bendy bit), so nothing to do with red flags or pit stops. Also the lap times are quite similar.
So, or, the Honda PU is even worse then everybody thought or Alonso isn't the Fernando that we used to know or Kvyat and Sainz are by far the best drivers of the field or the McLaren chassis isn't actually that good. With McLarens history of their last few cars, I think their chassis isn't that good and the Honda PU is masking a lot of its shortcomings.

I think the McLaren and Honda people realized by Monaco that podiums weren't going to happen this year. This year has been a testing year, preparing themselves for next year. I wouldn't worry, if they're still seconds off the pace come testing, then you should worry. Seconds off the pace in their race simulations I mean.

If they're within less than a second they'll be in decent shape to develop a good car.

Was forcing Honda to come in a year early Dennis's decision?

Agreed, I think the Honda is now broadly in line with the Renault. It's not quite as good as Mercedes or Ferrari, but it would be good enough to let RBR challenge for podiums..

Ron will do anything to stay "BOSS" at McLaren. There is already news of Chinese Investors making a hostile bid to have a controlling stake in McLaren.
