Perfect combo of talentless doofs.
Gawd i disgust that person in her role as principal.
Guiterrez probably the worst driver in the grid. And to be honest, i can see that happening @ Sauber.

Sauber needs 'tha money', and Guiterrez needs a team that doesnt aim at doing anything good, so he can be his best bad.
Guiterrez - Ericsson, failteam of the year.

With a little luck, Ocon might get Manor in the points, but i fear they've lost out to Sauber in just 1 lousy race. luckers.
what a stab in the groin for Manor.

Nasr to Manor, if they survive the winter.

How the teams still consider Gutierrez for a seat is beyond my understanding. He is simply terrible. This is his third full season with only one race in the points. Since when F1 became so merciful with bad drivers?

While there are still teams like Sauber and Manor, Esteban Gutierrez and others shitdrivers with a lot of money will have a much better chance of being in F1 than talented drivers who has a hard time attracting sponsors.

It's sad, but that's how things work in F1. These two teams don't care about the talent of the candidates. They take into account only the sponsorship of each driver for the choice.

Not only Nasr, Werhlein too. Two good drivers who are at risk of losing their seats for shitdrivers with a lot of money. This is very sad.

It would be a little ... curious Manor hire Nasr, the driver who made them lose money

I read an article published by an Italian website, saying that Nasr worsened his chances of being in F1 next year with its very good performance at the Brazilian GP, instead of improved.

That's because Manor may not be on the grid if they finish last in the championship. So Nasr eliminated an option. Now he only has the option of staying in Sauber and will still have to dispute his seat with Werhlein, Gutierrez and Haryanto.

Well that's a good point BUT,

IF Guiterrez is going to Sauber next year, then they'll be even in a worse position next year.
Question is, will Nasr stay or will Ericsson stay? Nasr seems to be the one to have less chances,
due to A) BdB not craving to continue their sponsorship deal and B) the recent relations of Nasr with Sauber.

Then again, him hauling in those much craved points puts him in a completely different position one might say.

Not that i rate Nasr that high, but i do rate him higher than Ericsson and Guitterez.

Wehrlein doesn't seem to be the catch that people claimed before. I think it's telling Ocon gets the fast level-up and Pascal stays
foot. If he'll keep his seat for next year at all, that is.

I have no idea on what Manor is planning next year or has prepared for 2017. They might as well have a decent car in the works,
they might as well have nothing.

There are as far as I understand still 4 seats left

Sauber 2 x
Manor 2 x

Has there been any official statement regarding any of these seats that are without my knowing already occupied?

Isn't Ericsson involved with Sauber's new owners?

I'd imagine that makes his seat secure if so...

According to this brazilian site, Banco do Brasil won't sponsor Sauber in 2017.
I guess that means Nasr will be ousted and Carlos Slim Jr., sorry, Esteban Gutierrez, will be back on the team next year...

If that's true he might not even be able to secure a manor drive.

For sure guti is going to sauber.

The empty Expression on nasrs face signals the relationship is not good at sauber.

There are some possibilities of PW taking that Sauber seat

It is incredible that Manor still has not closed the deal with PW.

If Nasr won't get BdB to sponsor him anymore, it's a definate ending of his F1 career. Which would to be honest rather indicate whether one should concider him being a valuable addition to the field. However, that may be just on first glance.

Perez for example has proven to be definately good enough to be given a seat, even IF for some reason slim would back out and he would be left with no more telmex sponsorship to go with him.
However, Perez has had some years in F1 to show that talent. When he first appeared in F1 @ Sauber, he showed some good potential, but we all know it was due to the Telmex sponsorship that 'he got in'.

Still, plenty 'fish' out there i'd say.

It would be 'weird' though to no longer have a Brazilian in F1 since what? It goes back to long before Senna I'd say, since Piquet was in F1 already before Senna, aswell as Fittipaldi.
