Well mine was finished 2 weeks before the deadline and sent 48 hours before it...just in case! So I still had quite a while to do some corrections, to investigate....and change the text slightly in order to have more information with less words!! The total 499 words....one short of the limit! (I always try to stay 1 word from the limit....it's a just in case!)

Thank Tomba.I will write about my project in here when I finish my presentation with them. I'm in the process of making the presentation and gathering all the composite laminates specimens that I have built. But this is gonna be 30 minutes presentation, which is very long indeed.I've never done any presentation that last longer than 15 minutes,so no wonder I'm very much super-nervous at the moment.

To make the matter worse,I have to go to London tomorrow, for a job interview with Lotus. So there's very little time left for me to prepare the presentation.I might as well turned up there with a dodgy presentation and will only rely on on-the-spot idea or spontenous presentation. My project is fairly complicated to explain,so I'm afraid nobody there will understand what I will say!!!

Anybody have any tips for a good presentation?Any idea and tips are very much appreciated.

Thanks

RenaultF1 had it on their website a while back. It was only open to European (or UK) students only, so I didn't bother checking twice.

I've just arrived from Enstone.I didn't win the competition. But it was fun nevertheless.Chance to meet with Head of R&D of Renault F1 would not come everyday isn't it?

There were 5 presentations, including mine. All are really promising and interesting to listen and look to.

After the presentation,we were taken to a tour around the factory.I definitely saw a few things

I didn't win because,I think,my project is not instantly applicable to F1.More,extensive research still needs to be done. But it was fun presenting it in front of really smart people, who asked a lot of technical questions that are far,far different from the type of questions that were asked during the university's presentation.

So,all in all,it was worthwhile to spent a day there.Although it cost me a lot of money to get there, caused a few sleepless night to prepare the presentation, this was,no doubt, something that will stay in my head for a long time to come.

This bit of infor was on F1 Live in a story about Alonsos failed bargeboard:

* Renault has awarded a six-month tenure to engineer Mark Caldwell, who won the 'Altran' prize by presenting a project on 'brake calliper and wheel upright[s].'

''He will work as a fully functioning member of one of the most dynamic organisations in [Formula One],'' said a statement issued by the F1 team.
